Annabelle

My ordinary favorites….

1:01 AM

I dunno about you guys but switching jobs sure can put a damper on the spending part in life. I recently got a "promotion" but a massive pay cut which makes no sense so I might need to quit that job asap so I can pay my bills since my photography isn't bringing in much income these days =0

Enough blabbing right! Here is my random favourites I have that aren't new but some aren't old….. need to use up some major products in the next few months…..

*ANNABELLE Biggy Bronzer
*SEDONA LACE Large Angled Contour Brush
*L'OCCITANE Dry Hand Cream (LOVE ITTTTTTT!)
*ECOTOOLS Skin Perfecting Brush
*MAYBELLINE Clean Express Makeup Removing Wipes
*NICOLE Drying Drops - Why the hell didn't anyone tell me about these before?!?!?!?!?!
* SALLY HANSON XTREME WEAR Nail Color in Pacific Blue
*My 2 favourite rose rings my sister got for me from her amazing city in British Columbia….so jealous.
*BATISTE XXL VOLUME-seriously like my third can and this stuff goes a long way. LOVE IT!

I heart all these products and use them almost daily oh wait! I forgot my ULTIMATE FAVORITE

My XTREME LASHES. Seriously feel like I can't live without them, makes life SO much easier not having to wear mascara! You can get ready in like 2 minutes other then drying your hair its just amazing to me. I originally got them as a gift for being the maid of honour in the recent wedding I was in but I did end up getting a fill and man I am so sad I won't be able to do that again unless I get another job asap. I want to do a review, but I feel like all my blog is reviews since I really am not interesting and don't have much in this brain to share lol so I don't wanna over load the couple of people who read this with just reviews ;)

I hope everyone had an amazing weekend, What is your most recent favourites? old or new… and have you tried any of these before?

Bath And Body Works

Current Winter Savers!

1:30 AM

Winter is here and I am quite sad about it. Never have I hated winter so much until this year for some reason….oh I think its because I always hated summer since I didn't have air conditioning in my car but now that I have a new car I say eff winter and bring on the summer!

I did receive these masks from Farleyco.ca to review

I honestly have been using Montagne Jeunesse Masks for years and years and years.. Here are some new faves I have been enjoying.

*Dead Sea Mud Spa
Mud infused fabric

*Red Earth Clay Spa
Clay infused fabric

*Green Tea Peel Off
Detox & Pore Cleansing

Does anyone else have a difficult time trying to describe how these masks make your skin feel? I can't explain but they are my go to mask when my skin is in need of some tlc. With this cold weather it's very needed! With the variety they have there is something for everyone plus they are very affordable. You can purchase these mask from most drug stores and Farleyco.ca

Okay is it just me or does anyone else want to eat half the Bath and Body Works products? Twisted Peppermint is effing delicious and I don't care if I choose to smell like a pack of gum, I heart it!

*Twisted Peppermint Body Spray-B&BW

*Twisted Peppermint nourishing hand cream- B&BW

*Batiste Dry Shampoo travel size which came in super handy for my recent trip where I chose to not wash my hair daily. I LOVE the smell too, Blush is my fave <3

*Vanilla Bean Noel -B&BW SO GOOD! I looked last year for this product but they said they didn't have a body spray out yet but thankfully this year they did because I could eat it!

I was so on the fence about WEN hair products but I had to bite the bullet a while back and try it, I still have a bit left of their stuff and am kind of milking it because I don't want to blow more $$$.

*Wen Sweet Almond Mint Re Moist Intensive Hair Treatment. This is one of my top 3 favourite hair masks I have ever used, it makes my hair feel like silk without weighing it down. It leaves it moisturized and feeling healthy.

*Redken aerate 08- I LOVE this product!!!!! It is a light weight cream I used before I blow dry. Put maybe a quarter size just in my roots and it gives me the most body I have ever had in any product other then the Osis Dust it, but mix those two together and its great!

I doubt anyone will even read this post… I have been very MIA. Life has happened and I have been really out of the blogging world and into the photography world. I know it's just for fun because clearly I seem to fail at everything but I enjoy it. I am working on a new website at the moment but if your bored and feel like checking out anything here is my link =) Temporary Photography site!

ohh man is anyone else hating this winter?? this was my front door a few weeks ago =(

sick hey?

Hope everyone is doing well!!!!

April 2013 Empties

1:30 AM

I have the biggest pile of empties I have had in a long time so there will another post soon!

*SIMPLE Smoothing Facial Toner
This was a product I found too close to water for me, I think it would probably work okay with super sensitive skin but for my combo skin this wasn't the best fit with me.
Would I repurchase? Negative.

*VICHY Normaderm
I bought this on a whim when it was on sale and I was pretty happy with this moisturizer, while it didn't fix my imperfections it did moisturize nicely without a greasy residue.
Would I repurchase? Yes if the price was good.

*VICTORIA SECRET Pretty & Pure All Over Body Mist
Flipping LOVE this scent. Fruity and girly, my favorite.
Would I repurchase? YES!

*CLEAN&CLEAR Deep Cleaning Astringent
I seriously don't know why I always buy this but I remember my older sister buying it when I was young and for some reason I always buy it since lol. I don't even know if Astringent is the same as a toner but I always seem to use this.
Would I repurchase? Apparently because I have for years.

*JERGENS Ultra Care Moisturizer
This seems like my go to lotion when I am on the hunt at my nearest drug store, I can't say I notice an amazing difference in my skin after using it but the consistency is a bit thicker and I do find it makes my skin feel nice and soft.
Would I repurchase? Yes

*BATH & BODY WORKS Peppermint Mini Candle
YUM! This is one of my favorite scents from B&BW I guess it smells like candy canes or gum but I love it!
Would I repurchase? Yes!

* THE BODY SHOP Coconut Body Butter
Who doesn't love this stuff? It smells absolutely amazing! I think this is way too overpriced but if you catch it on a sale it's worth it.
Would I repurchase? Only if the deal was super good, I don't find this give me any better moisture then my Vaseline Body Butter which is WAY cheaper.

*BATISTE Coloured Dry Shampoo-Black
My LOVE! I seriously need Batiste in my life and wish I could find the coloured dry shampoo around here. I found this once at Winners and I purchased 2 bottles and it was over 2 years ago I think. I have been using this sparingly and finally just used the last of it =(
Would I repurchase? In a heart beat!

*L'OREAL Voluminous Power Collagen
Ahh L'oreal I know how evil you are but yet you are my go to mascara brand. This mascara plumps up my thin lashes and makes them noticeable.
Would I repurchase?Sadly yes.

Those are all the empties I could gather together today, i'm so unorganized it's ridiculous.

What are your latest empties?

Batiste Dry Shampoo XXL Volume Review

1:30 AM

I know I get to excited sometimes but I was like really excited for this. I have fine hair and that means it falls flat so the chance to review any thing that could help my crappy hair I would walk miles to try lol. I was very kindly sent this from FarleyCo to see what kind of big hair trouble I could get myself into. And let me tell you I had some big hair wow!

"Batiste XXL Volume Brings you the legendary revitalising benefits of Batiste Dry Shampoo with ultimate volumising power. From dull limp hair to big bouncy locks in an instant.
Batiste Dry Shampoo banishes oily roots, giving dull, lifeless hair the makeover it needs without water. A quick burst revitalises hair, adds body and texture and leaves it feeling fresh too. No need to worry about skipping a shampoo."

The nozzle is great, like most hairspray nozzles. It works perfectly.

I second guessed this product after I had it in my hands, I was thinking well it really it's probably just a dry shampoo with a new label. HA! no that's not the case at all. I fell in love with this product and I no longer need to use hair spray after I back comb my hair since this just holds everything in place.

I did have an interesting go the first time I used this. I sprayed my hair like I usually would with any other dry shampoo and when I went to brush out the excess my hair was pretty knotted up. If you use too much of this product you will create such an issue if you try to brush your hair out later(if you back comb). I usually always try to comb out any back combing I do or I end up with such matted hair after the shower.

You seriously need a small amount with this, which means the bottle will last such a long time.

The annoying white that dry shampoo leaves in your hair. It does blend away pretty good so I can't complain too much.

On the left I just kind of rubbed it into my hair with my fingers and on the right I have brushed it in. Really you can hardly tell my hair isn't super black after this. But I do recommend with darker hair to not use it on the top layer, just underneath so if there is some color lightening look it won't be effected since it's underneath.

I think this is perfect for fine hair since my problem is nothing stays in my hair, it's so soft and straight that even hairspray doesn't seem to last unless it's the make your hair crunchy kind which I can't stand.
I use a lot of the hair powders so I can have added texture in my straight hair but this is going to replace that since the price is much cheaper and way easier to use.

Pros:

*Gives some serious volume
*Acts as a dry shampoo & volume maker!
*Pleasant scent
*Nice packaging
*Good price
*Adds amazing texture
*Quick & Easy

Cons:

*My ultimate con of 90% of the dry shampoo world is the color! I just want black! Too much dry shampoo can make your hair have the dull grey color if you have dark hair. Perfect for blondes.
*Can give too much texture if your not careful

I will for sure purchase this product. I really find Batiste Dry Shampoo products different then all the other dry shampoos I have tried. They really make your hair feel clean and refreshed. I think this product would work well with all hair types and I say give it a try if you are looking for a cheaper alternatives to the volumizing hair powders or need mega volume.

You can purchase Batiste Dry Shampoo XXL Volume at Farleyco.ca

My Sumer Must Haves

6:25 AM

This is probably really late for summer but honestly this is like the first REAL weekend of summer that I've had this year, how strange considering the summer is almost over =/

But here are some of my must haves for summer :

I am more of the lip gloss&Mascara kind of girl. I ALWAYS have both of those on 90% of the time. I do use a powder most of the time but once in a while I will use foundation. When it is actually summer and my skin isn't hating me I will just use Cover Girl's basic powder so there isn't too much exciting going on in the picture for some of you but this is what I stick with..

*Batiste Dry Shampoo in Black
*Nivea Essientail Care
* Johnson & Johnson Baby Lotion-It smells amazing!!!
*Chi Silk Infusion
*L'oreal Voluminous Water Proof Mascara
*Aussie 3 Minute Miracle deep conditioner
*Cover Girl Clean Pressed Powder
*Escada- Marine Grove
*Annabelle Bronzer
*Neutrogena Utlra Sheer Dry Touch Sunscreen. Uva/uvb protection
*Aloe Vera Gel just in case I get lobster like =/

What are your top 3 must haves for summer? ( I might be missing out on something!)

Batiste Dry Shampoo-Black Review

9:35 AM

I love Dry shampoo's....Well ones that actually work. Batiste is the kind that actually works! I have been searching everywhere to find the kind for black hair. I finally found it at Winners! There was 3 cans left and I snagged 2 of them. They were $5.99 each, can't go wrong at that price!

This basically works the same way as the regular ones but have some coloring in it so it should blend better for darker hair then the regular kind.
If you are a dry shampoo lover then you will know what I am talking about with the whole gray colored looking hair.
When I first got home I spray a little bit in the cap to see how dark the product really is and I was pleasantly surprised it was pretty black...

The next day I decided to give it a try and I was kind of disappointed that it doesn't spray fully black! I had this image that it would just spray a black spray and I would comb it out a bit and be good to go. But unfortunately it does have SOME gray. =/

This picture is before brushing it out, this is just to show the grayish color instead of what I thought would come out of the can,it should be black if it says black I think.

But it can be brushed out fairly easy so you don't have old looking hair ;)
I also use a shine spray once I am finished using any dry shampoo just in case there is some left over  color showing in my dark hair.

Over all I would for sure recommend this product as well I will repurchase it. The quality is better than even the expensive salon brands as well their selection is so large that there is something for everyone.

If you want to read more about this product I did do a full review on a couple from their line, you can read that HeRe .

What is your favorite Dry shampoo? What was the worst one you have ever tried?

Winners & Walmart Good Crap I got =)

10:45 AM

If you follow me on twitter you might have seen me talking about good crap that you buy at Walmart or Target or where ever you might find it =) Here is what I got at Winners yesterday...

My FIRST ELF THINGS EVER!!!!!!!! I am currently waiting for some Elf goodies in the mail from my lovely blogger friend but when I saw this at Winners I had to buy it! So forgive me if there is any similar in the package you are sending me.. I will use it i promise =)

Elf Summer Ready Best Sellers Collection:

*Eyelash Curler
*Lengthening & Defining Mascara
*Liquid EyeLiner
*Eye Shadow Trio -no color names =(

I found this at Winners and I honestly have yet to find an Elf product anywhere near where I live in Canada.. I didn't even think it was sold in Canada. The selection was small there, just kind of sets like this and their eye shadow books. So this was $9.99 and I am so curious if any of you American  bloggers or readers have purchased this or seen the price of this?

Next:

Everything here is from Walmart except the Joico and Batiste Dry Shampoo.
The Joico was purchased at Winners and I got the K-PaK Reconstructive conditioner just like the one from my other post and honestly these suckers are regularly like $42  or higher at some salons so when I saw this I had to have it. It is a Liter and will last me such a long time. Now the best part about all of this is that it was $19.99! I was stoked so I had to buy it.. then no more hair products for a while =) I am set!
I finally found my Batiste Colored Dry Shampoo in Black. This is usually around $9.99 at Shoppers Drug Mart and at Winners it was $5.99 so I bought 2.

These were purchased at Walmart:

*L'OREAL Ever Pure -Sulfate Free,no harsh salts,Natural Botanicals-It sounds good so hopefully it will be kind to my hair =)This was a little pricey $9
*Next is the usual Clean&Clear makeup dissolving cleansing wipes. I had a $3 off coupon and this was just under $6 so I paid 3 dollars for it =)
*Montagne Jeunesse Mask Apricot Mango scrub - $2
*L'OREAL Total  Repair Night-This ranges anywhere from $4-$7 but it was on for $3.96 and I had a $2 off coupon so it was super cheap!

And my last picture is from my very bestest friend Shari =)
She recently went to the states and she knows what a gumaholic I am and that I love to try every single kind ever!! So she was kind and bought me a few we don't have in Canada.. or not at least where I am living. Thank you =) =)

*Extra Dessert Delights gum-Key Lime Pie Yummy!
*Extra Desserts Delights Gum-Strawberry Shortcake YUMMMM
*Extra Fruit Sensations- Sweet Tropical my FAV!!

Since I have had a couple days off this week and I think I am shopping WAY too much for my bank account =/ so I need to slow down soon on that =(

Have you tried any of these products? What was the last thing you bought that you didn't overly need?

May Favorites 2011

9:18 PM

End OF May.... June here we come and I am not  ready for summer quite yet...

I feel like this is the longest week ever and that I haven't had a chance to blog for so long! There is a crazy lightening storm going on right now with small hail... I hope it doesn't get too bad.

On with the May Favorites!

*OLAY Silk Whimsy Body Lotion-This stuff is a very good scent! It's a light moisturizer with a light fragrance that is great for summer! I picked this up at Walmart in a pack with body wash and a bar of soap for about $8.

*BATISTE Dry Shampoo in Blush- My HG dry shampoo!!

*L'OREAL Paris Studio Indestructible Fixing Spray, I compare this hair spray to Elnett Satin Hairspray that I absolutely Love but hate paying the $$ for. This Spray was under $7 so it is a good runner up product!

*AVON Q110 Moca Latte Eyeshadow Quad, I can't quite remember when I purchased this but I forgot I had it and lately I have been using it often! This was under $10 and the colors are just great neutrals that anyone can use.

*SUN LABORATORIES Self Tanner in Ultra Dark... Summer is coming up right quick and I am in need of some safe color.. This is this dark if you have never actually seen the formula. It is like applying some type of chocolate to your skin! But it works amazingly!

* My LUXE BOX of course =)

*DERMALOGICA- Best micro exfoliate EVER! ( from my May LUXE BOX)

*CHINA GLAZE -Little Drummer Boy (From May LUXE BOX)

Okay these are just quick randoms....

My Ipad..Expensivest thing I own lol

BEST VITAMIN EVER!! tastes like candy!!

Socks!
M&M's Pretzels, SO GOOD!!!

My lil sis's Kitty, my second Niece...HOSS she is a doll, i absolutely love her =)

So cute I might steal her one day ;)
And this is my Big Nephew Acoustic! He is my lil sis's as well, he is super sweet as well and he loves everyone!

Cute little begging face =)

That is my May Favorites...What are some of yours??

Batiste Dry Shampoo Review

3:11 PM

Okay I am very shocked by my thoughts on this product. I have tried numerous dry shampoo's and always went back to my baby powder 90% of the time.  I would still pick washing my hair over using a dry shampoo but I don't like to wash it everyday due to the damage and loss of color when I would wash daily. As well sometimes You need a break from all that blow drying and heat to your hair!
My over all thoughts on this product- AMAZING. This is by far the best dry shampoo that I have tested and I actually will purchase this product over and over... If I can ever find it in stock at my Shoppers Drug Mart.

My Favorite of the 3 different kinds would be the BLUSH, I really liked this scent the best. It is like a soft rose type of smell, very good and the best I have tried in the dry shampoo scents.

The next one, was the TROPICAL one, this is popular scent too, it just reminds me of summer and sun screen or something like that. It is my second favorite scent wise.

The Last one is in ORIGINAL and I don't really know how to describe this scent, it's alright but nothing too yummy about this smell.

All of these worked the same, I have tested them all out for the passed 6 days and REALLY liked them. It's the same as any other shampoo, just shake the can and spray in short bursts, rub into the roots and comb out.

PROS:
*Best smell I have ever had in a dry shampoo
*It felt cool on your head so it felt refreshing
*Easy to Comb out (not much gray looking hair after)
*Did not leave any film or residue in my hair
*Didn't Leave a film all over my whole bathroom like other dry shampoos have
* I could actually wear my hair down after I did use this product
*Good Spray Nozzle
* Good price

CONS:
* Leaves my black hair Slightly gray/white color (Need to try the colored dry shampoo)
* Will not replace washing hair

Would I recommend? YES
Would I buy this product? YES

* This is my honest review and I am surprised I could ever enjoy a dry shampoo as much as I did this one.
I also wanted to say I did get to try these samples out from FARLEYCO.CA who distribute Batiste dry shampoo products and their customer service was phenomenal! They are super quick to answer any questions you might have and very very nice! =)

You can see my other dry shampoo reviews HERE & HERE
