Feburary EmpTies

check ya later empty products.....

Love doing empties posts, out with the old in with the new.

Body Shops Coconut Body Butter. Who hasn't purchased one of their body butters at least once before. In LOVE with this smell, reminds me of summer when I was a kind, sunscreen maybe but damn it smells good. As for moisturizing it's not my top pick. These suckers cost around $21, so only purchase these when they have good sales!

Would I repurchase? Possibly if they had a good sale, not for full price.

Garnier Fructis Triple Nutrition is another one I have been suckered into buying quite a few times, usually is around $3 and really detangles my hair without weighing it down. Nothing special but if I am out of my healthy sexy hair then this will do.

Would I repurchase? Yeah I probably will

Lancome Hypnose Drama sample,L'oreal Voluminous Power Collagen and Lancome Hypnose Doll Lashes, also sample mascaras.
I am a mascara obsessed maniac. I will buy more mascara looking for the one then one human needs in their life time. I have had the Lancome ones for seriously way too long. But I was kinda saving the tubes for an empties post. They were actually not too bad of products but still didn't beat my L'oreal Voluminous anything mascara.

Would I repurchase? The L'oreal yes! I am in love with most of their mascaras and they are the only ones that give me eyelashes.
Does anyone have recommendations for eyelashes in a tube?

Neurtrogena Acne Stress Control. I don't even know when I purchased this but it wasn't anything exciting, the microbeads are a bit too tiny for my likings. There is 2% salicylic acid in it so if your skin agrees with that then its alright.

Would I repurchase? Nahhhhh

Wen's Sweet Almond Mint Cleansing Conditioner. Man this stuff is just strange when you are new to it. I watched the infomercial for about ummm 3 years before I committed to the ridiculous prices. This product can make your hair crazy soft and smell delicious if you use it correctly. If you don't then your hair is greasy and weighed right down. The theory of this product is great and I think it's perfect if you don't have a LOT of hair. The amount of product you use is unreal and you would go through more product then worth it.

Have you tried Wen? What did you think of it?

Would I repurchase? Possibly now since I cut off all my hair and this will be much easier to use then on my loooonnnggg hair before.

Well my empties posts aren't as exciting as some of yours out there but I can't afford all those high end shannagins that some of you have!

What is your last empty you had?

February Favorites

7:05 AM

My February has been super lame so far, kind of a shitty month for life...but it will only get better. So my February Favorites are super tiny since I haven't really been playing around with anything.

*BENEFIT Creaseless Cream Shadow/Liner in Farenheit Fab.
I received this from my January Luxe Box , I didn't do a post about it because I was so mad they shipped it to another address and it took me a while to even receive this box and by the time I got it I just didn't feel like posting it =/ BUT this stuff is amazing! Gorgeous golden shimmery color, that really goes with almost everything. I have been wanting a golden color for a while and this was perfect!

*ELF Blush in Mellow Mauve
I freakin love this color, I think it is really pretty and is a little different then the pinky colors I regularly would use. And for Elf's super cheap prices how can you not love it?

*DIANE LAI Soothe Moisturizing cream.
HOLY CRAP my hands are super dry lately and this is my favorite moisturizer to help fix that problem. I love that this product is all natural and has a really light scent, as well it does not leave the gross greasy silicon feeling on your hands that some can leave behind.

*LANCOME Hypnose Drama
Love this mascara, adds volume and length. I like the curved S shape brush and the formula isn't too dry or wet.

*CARGO Pencil in Black
Could use this liner everyday I think, I recently have gotten a few liners I am loving so this was one I have been using the most. I had always used cheap drug store ones until a few months ago and wow I can see the difference in the few I have tried. More color and goes on so smoothly!

My favorite song of February was:

And that's the end of my February thankfully!

What were your most used products?

October Favorites

 LATE OCtober FaVorItes!!!!

I had a really hard time getting this post done.... I REALLY don't like taking my pictures inside since the lighting is terrible and if you have terrible pictures what's the point? If anyone has any suggestions on how to get better indoor pictures please let me know!! I try to take them near a window but I just don't have a good spot in my house and it's been snowy and grey outside all week =( boo!
Anyways my favorites aren't super interesting this month, it is pretty basic but I have been loving these =D

My first Juicy Tubes Lip Gloss in Fruity Pop.
I have heard sooo much about these but just don't want to pay the price so I have never purchased them before. I got this as a freebie with my recent Lancome purchase =D
This pink is one of my favorite colors for lip gloss, this is smooth, glossy and just the right amount of thickness.<3!

It's a 10 Miracle leave in product is amazing for my hair! I love the convenience of 10 products in one so it is quick and takes up less space in my bathroom drawer...you know what that means, more space for other products!
This gel like consistency can make your hair greasy and weighed down if you are not careful of over spraying, I did run into that but you just have to figure out how many sprays to use before it is too many. As well stay away from the roots especially if you have fine hair like me =/

I have really been addicted to skin care products lately and I am on the hunt for the best things that work with my combination skin. I have absolutely been loving the St.Ives Green Tea Cleansers & The Lancome Visionnaire. These two have been keeping my skin feeling clean, smooth and breakout free...knock on wood! My skin decided it hated me for a while lately and wasn't looking it's best =/

I haven't had the chance to wear a ton of shadows this month, mostly only on weekends sometimes but I definitely reached for these two this month the most.
*Wet N Wild-Walking on Egg Shells
*Motives-Foxy Brown
These actually both were from 2 other bloggers but the colors are EXACTLY what I would have picked out! The Wet n Wild are so pigmented for their prices and the colors are such great everyday colors I really love them! I was very lucky to receive these from my good blogger friend Sarah
The Motives shadow was nothing I had ever heard of until my Makeup swap with my other good blogger friend Alx.This shadow is the absolute perfect Matte brown I have ever used! It makes my grey eyes look crazy blue I love it!I think this is very comparable to Mac shadows as well, the pigmentation is amazing and very smooth. Love this!

Okay anyone who does not have a steady hand with gel liners like myself this Elf Angled Eye Liner brush ($1!) is AMAZING! It is my new bff! ;) I have been using this with my Buxom gel liner - Leatherette and it is crazy easy to apply. Doing a winged eye is super easy with this brush, I think it is a must have for everyone!

And lastely with the cold weather and snow we have had =( I am always wanting coffee or tea, it helps keep me warmer! I Love green tea,tea and coffee but I have been super addicted to these teas!

That is all for my October Favorites... What were some of yours?

Lancome Visionaire Mini Review

1:00 AM

LANCOME VISONNAIRE

Beyond anti-wrinkle,re-create a very beautiful skin that looks smoother, more even and more radiant.
With Visionnaire, skin appears transformed. At the origin of its power is LR 2412-a Lancome first. This exclusive formula helps correct skins appearance: wrinkles and skin imperfections appear reduced, pores look tightened and complexion more even.

I don't know about you but it sounds really nice to me and I want to be proactive with skin care and start at a younger age to fix what I have now I thought maybe this might be for me.

I purchased this at the Bay after reading a ton of reviews and speaking with the girl who worked at the Lancome counter (yes it may be a bias opinion ) and she raved about it. This is my absolute first "high end" skin care product EVER and yes it took me a few weeks to actually let myself splurge this much on this product. I actually waited until I saw the whole deal when you purchase $25 of Lancome products you receive some freebies..mays well get my moneys worth right?
So the price... I feel silly but it was $100!! holy hell that is a lot of money worth of Monsters I could have bought!

Helps correct winkles, pores and evenness..who doesn't want that?!
It sounds lovely to me and since I was using the sample for 2 weeks I pretty much fell in love with this.
I absolutely love the the packaging, the bottle is plastic so if you drop it it's ok, the turquoise color is one of my favorite colors. As well it is a pump applicator.

So this is just a kind of first impression since I really think you will need to give the product a good month or so to really see results and I am roughly at week 3 so I am not 100% sure of all the benefits.
So far I have noticed such a difference in my skin for smoothness, after applying this lightweight serum my skin feels so smooth and soft. I have so much less oil on my skin now that I am using this as well as Aloe Vera to moisturize afterwards. I have noticed my couple acne scarring has really decreased and that on it's own was worth the money for me since I have such fair skin everything shows.
There is one con I will mention since it was a huge problem with some peoples reviews I have read was the scent. It does have a old lady perfume scent that is stronger if you are sensitive with  scents, I am really not sure why they would have this scented since it was a major turn off for some people.
I do notice the scent but once it is applied it really doesn't linger for long and it doesn't bother me.
I will do a full review if anyone is interested once I have used this for a couple months but I really am happy with this Visionnaire so far!

Here is a couple pictures of what I received for the promo...

I wouldn't have picked this bag out or anything but it is a really nice size to throw everything in for traveling or if you want to save counter space in your bathroom. I think Black would have looked really nice with the gold but it was free so really I can't complain!

 * CREME RADIANCE- Clarifying cream to foam cleanser
-First Impression, I really did like this but it wasn't anything over the top amazing

*CILS BOOSTER XL-Super enhancing mascara base
-First Impression, It really did add length to my lashes, I think high end lash primers are amazing to use!

*HYPNOSE DRAMA-Instant Full Body Volume Mascara
-First Impression, I love the brush and it seems like a decent mascara, I wouldn't actually purchase it but great as a little travel mascara.

*SENSATIONAL EFFECTS EYE SHADOW W/ BLUSH- These are gorgeous colors! This was the only choice left with the promo.
-First Impression, I haven't actually used them yet =/ I swatched them on my hand but they aren't as pigmented as I would have liked but they are still nice.

*HIGH RESOLUTION REFILL 3X- I am not a huge fan of the little jar to dip into to use but it isn't terrible.
-First Impression,it is a fairly thick formula so if you have oily skin I wouldn't think this would help with that, but I think it will be great for winter.

*JUICY TUBES-Fruity Pop. I got this as an extra, I have a friend who works at the Bay and she was talking about the Juicy Tubes and I mentioned I have never tried one so she convinced the girl at the Lancome counter to throw it in =D very sweet of her!
-First Impression, it's lip gloss and fruity,my fav!!

So that is my Lancome haul, I feel like it was a haul since that is a lot of stuff to try out =D

Have you tried any of these Lancome products?

Oooo and my friend gave me perfume samples as always =)

*Gucci Intense
* D&G 10 La Roue De La Fortune
*Prada Candy
*Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue

So Far I am liking Candy!

Have you tried any of these?

Aquafina

Random New Products I am trying out!

10:40 PM

New to me products!
I have been on the hunt for a good facial serum that might help my skin look amazing...Does that even exist or are some people just born with nice skin? I am beginning to wonder!
I have read some reviews on a bunch of different ones, so I was kind of lost at what to look into. Since they are crazy expensive I don't want to blow a bunch of $$ on something that might totally suck. I was at one of my local drug stores and the lady working there raved about Lancome Visionnaire and told me I could have a sample of that as well as the Genifique. I of course feel guilty for trying these since they are not a cruelty free company, but it is EXTREMELY hard to cut them all out of your life... I mean there are a lot more then just beauty products being tested on animals. There is laundry soap to plastic bags to air fresheners to pet food to cleaners to dish washing detergent that test on animals, the list goes on and on.It is really upsetting and I really don't know how to cut everything out at once. So I am attempting the best I can with actually purchasing cruelty free products when I can but I do believe we need to attempt it with everything we use not just beauty products =/ .
But I did decide I would try thees samples out, as well with a couple other things I had purchased.

*LANCOME VISIONNAIRE0-Advanced Skin Corrector
*ST IVES NATURALLY CLEAR GREEN TEA CLEANSER- $4.99

*CLEAN&CLEAR MARK TREATMENT-$4.99 (With a coupon for $3 off)
*AQUAFINA LIP BALM-$1.25 for 2 (Dollarama!) So strange to me that Aquafina makes lip balm! But I actually really like it.
*LIP SMACKERS LIP FROSTING in Birthday-$1 (Also Dollarama) Okay this isn't new to me but I haven't had it for years! And for a dollar why not!

Does anyone know of a great facial serum??? I need help! =D

Makeup Swap!!

6:00 AM

Makeup Swap #2!

I think I could do these all the fricken time if I was rich!! It is kind of like getting a Luxe Box or Glymm in the mail but sometimes a lot better =D
I recently did a little makeup swap with one of my good blogger friends Alex, she is such a sweetheart! If you aren't following her I suggest checking out her blog for sure!!

We are both from Canada but there are some things I don't have around here and I am hoping she didn't have everything I sent her ?

I was very excited to open the mail and receive my package!!

*MOTIVES Eye Shadow in Foxy Brown-This is absolutely gorgeous!! I love the packaging and the color is so pigmented it is amazing! This color makes my eyes just pop! Perfect color for blue/green eyes! I have never heard of this brand before but they have a ton of great products online you can check them out HERE.

LORI Eye Color- I have never heard of this brand either but these colors are pretty and they are decently pigmented so they will work nicely =)

NYX JUMBO PENCIL- Milk-OMG  I have wanted this FOREVER and just recently found a drug store that actually carries NYX in my city but they are ALWAYS sold out of this one color! Every time I go there it is sold out! I was super excited to see this in there, thank you so much Alex!! =D

Red Wine Potphenol Anti-Oxident facial Mask & PURE DERM Vitalizing Green Tea Pack. I love face masks and these sound really nice! I can't read the red wine one but the packaging is really cute and cannot wait to use them!

AZIZA Mascara &LANCOME High Definition Mascara in Black- =D =D I LOVE Mascara!

I haven't tried either of these so I am excited to test them out!
I have used a couple of Lancome products years ago and I was always pleased with them so I have high hopes for the mascara!

ST IVES Renew Collagen Elastin- This is great for dry hands and with the cold weather approaching I will be needing some like crazy!
JUICY COUTURE Peace & Love- This smells so nice! I used to wear Viva La Juicy ALL the time a few years ago and haven't tried this scent yet but I love it. It is in a spray sample, I find the spray so much more useful then when it is just a little wand that you have to wipe on your skin.

THEN we swapped a nail polish we had both received in our Luxe Box one month but I had a pearl white color and she had a gun metal gray color which I love so we swapped =D

CHEEKY MONKEY Nail Polish in Filthy Madame- Such a gorgeous color!
& Alex threw in a Trucco Jumbo Pencil from another Luxe Box, this color is really nice as well!

I LOVE Cheeky Monkey packaging!

THANKS SO MUCH Alex for doing the swap it was really fun and I love everything! =D

When I did receive this I had checked my mail late so it was dark and I didn't get a picture of everything all together but I did get a few of my fav Jolly Ranchers and some Air Heads in my package =D Can't go wrong with candy!
You can check out the other side of the swap at Alex's blog HERE =D

Have you had a chance to try any of these products?
