Recently I have had a few great losses in my life, Chicken, my furbaby that I had from 8 weeks old until 16 years old. He is my heart. NOTHING has been the same since. He left me in January 2019. Tough year, Then Poor Sweet Boots I had from almost a year old until 17 years old and she left me April 2020. 

Coming home to no furbabies was really hard. Harder than I ever knew. I have grown up with cats my entire life and I am getting old! So, I found some kitties needing homes from a farm an hour away from my city. Around here I know these kitties aren't always easy or maybe don't even find homes and with THREE litters I was very happy to adopt three little boys! ❤❤

I was beyond thrilled to have the opportunity to receive Farleyco's 2019 Holiday Beauty Box, it felt like Christmas! I was so excited that I opened it up and was just in awe over Profusion Cosmetics Magnetix Brush I didn't even get a photo of everything in the box before dark! It is like 5pm and you would think it was midnight in Canada already.

Kerachroma Color + Clenditioner First Impression

Hey my favourite Strangers!

I have been dying my hair colourful for years now, I want to say 5 years regularly now and as much as I do LOVE it, it is quite a bit of upkeep. I recently dyed it almost pure blonde with purple roots and I couldn't take the normal like colour so I certainly wouldn't change having colourful hair!

I currently have Joico's Color Intensity Amethyst Purple on my roots , Cobalt Blue almost down to my ends, then we tried to get a little bit of Aquaflow in the ends but I think too much Cobalt was added, oops!


I randomly came across this product KERACHROMA Color+Clenditioner which is recommended by my hair stylist. She let me know that a couple of her clients are loving it in between colors and it is a life saver. 

I HAD to get it!

 

 I haven't tested it just yet, I did just get my hair coloured last week but I wash it every other day and since Joico fades fairly quick this will come in handy!

I am intrigued to see how this works, you can play around with it a lot by the sounds of it. I enjoy no rules with this kind of thing so I am going to just wing it.

It says you can use on dry hair for more vibrant colour deposit, or a couple times a week instead of conditioner when you wash your hair. You basically play with it until you see what you like and go with that! I am really excited to test this out. I am thinking how the heck did I not know of this 
Product earlier?!? 

Can I move this rock I have been living under?

I was super excited to receive this box and I am happy to share all the goodies!

Yes, it has been a LONG winter, not a very good one at that.
Spring is the beginning of new, fresh and what a lovely way to remind me of this with great products!

No White Residue!  How PERFECT for my current pink/purple hair! 
I couldn't be more in love with Colab's products. I use them daily and have for years! 
This one smells nice and fresh and keeps your hair nice and fresh!



Instagram Stories are so fun, I am not the most creative but hey I had fun with this one 😊♡





YUM!! For real, this is my kind of scent! 
Fruity notes of sweet pear, green melon and a floral bouquet of apple blossom, this is one of my new favourite body mists hands down! 
I always bring body mist with me in my bag since we all know body mist isn't as strong as perfume. 
No complaints here and I will absolutely purchase this!


I have been lucky to use Flexitol products before and find they work really well with my dry skin!
My hands look like they just want to be covered up with mittens, they need some moisturizing care. 
Pros with this hand balm:
- Reduces the look of dark spots
- Improve Skin Elasticity 
- Contains a unique plant based ingredient
- Moisturizes, hydrates and protects your skin
- Not much scent if any
- No greasy feeling left behind
Recommended! 


Bubble Charcoal Mask! This was new to me and exciting as I LOVE my charcoal/clay masks and adding the bubbles, I was very interested to see what this would do! Being exposed to air = bubbling! So different than anything I've used prior!

If anyone has witnessed a photo of me, we know I do not have anything but colourful hair. So my bestie is going to be reviewing this one for me! I will add the review once we have completed it. It was so cool as well, her and I recently went to a local salon and purchased hair dye for her, brown, and she is the colour 5N and that is exactly what this brown is so we both were excited!

I feel like such a stranger, my life has been so different in the past year and a half, so many downs, some ups, little hope and lots of tears.

We say this every year that it is our year, and 2019 is coming our way.
Let's hope we are correct this time...


I am currently shattered, going through too many sad things at once, waiting for the next hopeful chapter.

Anxiety

5 Ways to Kick Anxiety quickly

I have spoken lightly about my Anxiety disorder on my blog, but recently life has thrown more than I thought I could handle at me. I am currently working on a new project and I hope it will be something you can relate too or even benefit from.

Anxiety is something we all have if we didn't then we wouldn't know what was safe or not. Fight or flight mode wouldn't exist and it would be a very dangerous existence. With some of us, we have this in extreme amounts, debilitating amounts, life-altering amounts. It FUCKING sucks. 
I have a lot to say but I will share more of that later on.

Here are my top 5 quick tips I use daily for when I am in what I call " Pre-Panic Attack" State. I hope you might find even one beneficial if you do have extreme anxiety. 
These might be helpful tips short term or even long term.

1. B R E A T H E - D E E P  | B R E A T H I N G

How many times have you heard this? A LOT, why?  Well because it REALLY works. 
We know the drill, deep breathe in through our nose from the stomach (mouth closed),  hold and slowly release. Repeat. There are lots of methods of deep breathing, I specifically use the square technique. What I do is close my eyes if I am able to (depends if I am in public walking or driving) and envision a square, start at a corner and breathe in through your nose until you have reached the next corner of the square you are visualizing, hold for 5 or so seconds and exhale slowly through your mouth until the next corner is there. Repeat until you've finished going around the square as many times as you need.  Deep breathing is so helpful and no one even knows when you are doing it so it can be done anytime, anywhere.

2. M U S I C | W H I T E  N O I S E 

I ALWAYS have a set of headphones with me, I usually wear them when I go grocery shopping or where ever I might feel uncomfortable and feel too panicked.  
If you can play your favorite song, or white noise, ocean sounds or even just for some silence when things are overwhelming. This is one of the KEY things that helps me calm down a little or keep myself distracted.

3. P H O T O S

I have used this method a lot, suggested by a psychologist when I was going through some tough times. 
Photos of someone or something you love to do. I use my Furbabies as my go to. Looking at them will instantly switch your thoughts to a positive and hopefully that will change your thinking to get you out of that gross scared, can't breathe kind of feeling.

4. N O T I C E | Y O U R | S U R R O U N D I N G S 

Usually, when I am in my pre-panic attack state I need to do my breathing then I might do this step right away if it's really bad. I need to remember I am not in danger and I am just panicked and need to calm down. If I need to leave the room, or the store or even at home completely alone I need to realize I am safe and go from there. If you are in a dangerous situation then that is a different scenario and you need to get to safety. Usually, it is just anxiety making me feel that way and I need to remember that and change my thinking so I can continue on.


5. P O S I T I V E | S E L F-T A L K 

Lastly, this makes sense but it is difficult. A very wise psychologist said this to me one day " How often when you are out and about are you worried about the way others are acting or how they look?" "Not at all" I reply. "Exactly, most people aren't even noticing you, they are just doing what they are there to do to or focused on themselves."
That was a crazy "ah ha" moment for me, of course, you feel like you are the center of the store or work or wherever you might be but that is anxiety talking. Most people are just doing their regular thing and not thinking about everyone else like people with extreme anxiety might be. So try to just let yourself know you are doing well, just breathe and take baby steps with what you need to get done for the day.

There are many types and levels of anxiety, as well methods that might work for other, these are just a few that I find the most helpful for myself when I need to breathe and be calm before I have a complete panic attack. 
I hope you can take something from this, or even one of these methods.

Sweating when you are not working out isn't something on my list of lovely things I'd like to blog about let alone tell people BUT guess what, that's life right? Sometimes when my anxiety is so high I swear my temperature goes so high and there it comes. YUCK. So, of course, I would give this a try! 
I actually remember trying the Original Perspirex a try years ago and it really did work but it irritated my skin enough that I didn't purchase a new bottle. 
For 5 days though?! Now this I gotta see!

Sounds like it has improved!  Reading this I personally am like "HELL YEAH" sounds great! I know not everyone would like the Aluminum Chloride in it but for me personally, I am fine using these once in a while if they work well. 

I have applied this odorless roll-on product on clean skin that I didn't just shave because the other version ohhhhh man that just hurt! It felt just fine going on which is what it claimed would do, it was much nicer then the older version!!.

Stress tested...this week has been an extremely difficult week in my life. Testing Perspirex out was a good time to do so!

A quick insight into my work days:

- Get out of bed from my anxiety-driven nap around 5:30am

- Get your butt moving since Chicken (my kidney cat) Need his Sub-Q Fluids/Breakfast

- Down 3/4 of the coffee pot...almost taking the last 1/4 before you realize maybe you should share with your boyfriend, today at least ;) 

- Race to work, trying to not hit 18/18 red lights on your way

- 9-10 hours of anxiety and work mixed together

- Race home, doing the speed limit of course 

- Get Chicken his Supper and do his Sub-Q fluids again, oh don't forget your second kitty is hungry too!

- A little more anxiety and ore kitty care....

Okay, I think I am on minimal sleep but my days are not exciting lately and high anxiety which can lead to sweating.
So did perspirex Plus hold up on:

Day 1?

Kind of in shock! Now I didn't run a marathon but not even a slight bit of sweat near me!

Day 2?

Nothing....

Day 3?

Seriously so surprised! No sweating. I have a busy work/home life currently and I haven't added a real work out for a while so there wasn't any work outs in this week.

Day 4?

Is someone messing with me??

Wait still? Day 5??

Seriously! Ha I would imagine I would be sweating if I was doing physical activity but even from being a very anxious human I didn't notice any sweating this week, so crazy!

Pros:

-Ordorless

-Very resonalbly priced

- Teeny tiny bottle with REAL POWERFUL results!


Cons:

- It irritated my skin SLIGHTLY

My final thoughts:

Fricken shocked to be honest, crazy this little bottle can stop your sweat! I would for sure recommend and use this product again and probably again. The only down side would be a slight irritation to my skin and you certainly wouldn't want to put a razor to your arm pits the day of or after. Other than that I am quite shocked! Definiently worth the small price for the results.

As a fine and very straight haired girl, I have to use a little product for my hair so it isn't flat to my skull, it is so beyond irritating!!!! So I use dry shampoo sometimes at my roots just for a little something and some light backcombing. Colab's Extreme Volume Dry shampoo gives me so much more! I was super excited to try this out. The packaging is all my favourite colours too!!! Yes I do like the new look a LOT!
With just a small amount ( I wouldn't suggest using it like a normal dry shampoo) it will give you a little texture/grit maybe even just so your hair can hold a little bit. My hair is so soft after I wash it even a pony tail can fall right out it drives me nuts! I am so envious of thick or curly hair! I have such straight fine hair it drives me nuts! 
This is amazing, I even can spray a little bit on my comb and do a light backcomb on my crown and it appears I have a little more than three strands of hair ;p

Seriously though, my hair is so flat and straight normally so this is a little boost.

My love of dry shampoo has continued over the years and I am still in love with Colab products. The new packaging is SO eye-catching, fun and it grabs my attention even more than before. When you are shopping and didn't do research and need something this looks so appealing!

The question of course is, is the inside as good as the outside?

Well, OF COURSE, IT DOES!!!!!


I couldn’t love the smell more, or the fact that I dye my hair so much and so many different colors that I don’t have to have a white residue in my roots! My roots are my natural brown with Joico's semi-permanent pink currently as I am laying off bleaching for a while. Normally dry shampoo shows up in my darker roots. Not a big deal but this is a treat to not have to deal with it! 
Paradise is a very lovely scent! I actually don’t think I have one that didn't smell good.
I don’t find it overpowering and I don’t really notice once I have finished getting ready but I notice my hair isn’t greasy and does smell fresh which is super important in-between washes.
As well having very soft, fine and flat hair I use this in my roots for a little bit of texture on days I wash my hair.




My timing is very off, I happen to use Colabs Dry Shampoo this morning, with a hair appointment that evening as you see in the photos above. The color is my multicolor hair! Some faded grey purple looking pieces, some dark blonde, some pink some leftover of all sorts LOL.



Me + Camera on me = DISASTER. Not a good kind of shot for myself to do but you can see it pretty much looks the SAME!
I will post a shot with my darker bright hair to replace these, I just was a little scared I wouldn't get this up before I use BOTH bottles! I seriously use these products daily! LOVE them.
