Annabelle

My ordinary favorites….

1:01 AM

I dunno about you guys but switching jobs sure can put a damper on the spending part in life. I recently got a "promotion" but a massive pay cut which makes no sense so I might need to quit that job asap so I can pay my bills since my photography isn't bringing in much income these days =0

Enough blabbing right! Here is my random favourites I have that aren't new but some aren't old….. need to use up some major products in the next few months…..

*ANNABELLE Biggy Bronzer
*SEDONA LACE Large Angled Contour Brush
*L'OCCITANE Dry Hand Cream (LOVE ITTTTTTT!)
*ECOTOOLS Skin Perfecting Brush
*MAYBELLINE Clean Express Makeup Removing Wipes
*NICOLE Drying Drops - Why the hell didn't anyone tell me about these before?!?!?!?!?!
* SALLY HANSON XTREME WEAR Nail Color in Pacific Blue
*My 2 favourite rose rings my sister got for me from her amazing city in British Columbia….so jealous.
*BATISTE XXL VOLUME-seriously like my third can and this stuff goes a long way. LOVE IT!

I heart all these products and use them almost daily oh wait! I forgot my ULTIMATE FAVORITE

My XTREME LASHES. Seriously feel like I can't live without them, makes life SO much easier not having to wear mascara! You can get ready in like 2 minutes other then drying your hair its just amazing to me. I originally got them as a gift for being the maid of honour in the recent wedding I was in but I did end up getting a fill and man I am so sad I won't be able to do that again unless I get another job asap. I want to do a review, but I feel like all my blog is reviews since I really am not interesting and don't have much in this brain to share lol so I don't wanna over load the couple of people who read this with just reviews ;)

I hope everyone had an amazing weekend, What is your most recent favourites? old or new… and have you tried any of these before?

PINK Fresh&Clean Luminous Body Bronzer | OLAY Fresh Effects | PINK Fresh&Clean Body Spray | SALLY HANSEN Xtreme Wear Pacific Blue | MAYBELLINE Volum'Express Mascara

Shopping again!! I told myself I wouldn't purchase anything else for a while but I got suckered in by some of these products I have been really wanting to try!

I don't have a Victoria Secret near by and I was just in a city a couple hours away and shouldn't have went in but I did! I seriously am in love with 90% of their body sprays and lotions, I could eat them they smell so damn delicious. I love the idea of a lotion bronzer that washes off in the shower. No worrying about the self tanner smell or applying it evenly, this is my quick fix for my casper like skin. The body spray scent doesn't last very long, but they didn't have any of the actual perfumes, did they discontinue them??

Of course I want a Clarisonic more then I want chocolate but I can't justify spending what like $160-$200 on something that may or may not work amazing for me. Wish you could try it before you buy it! I have seen the commercials for this but didn't think too much into it until yesterday I was at Walmart and had a gift card so I though meh what the hell.Mays well give it a try for $14.

I have no idea why but I was shocked at how cutely small this is! For some reason I just thought it was bigger but its super small and will fit my fat face just perfect! Cant wait to try it. I put the nail polish beside since its just so tiny lol.

Okay this mascara is really making me itch to give it a try, I am a mascara obsessed girl and I think the tiny side will be amazing for bottom lashes, can't wait to try it today!!

Have you tried any of these yet??

CleanandClear

My HG Products Part 1

12:03 PM

I have been trying to figure out my most purchased/used products over the past year to see what my HG products are. Here are some of my favorite most used ones....

*CLEAN & CLEAR Makeup dissolving foaming cleanser. Think I have mentioned this much? Well I have tried quite a few drug store makeup removers and nothing removes my waterproof mascara like this. Although this company does test on animals I am still looking for a replacement and I rather use something that doesn't rip out all of my eye lashes. I have tried a few that didn't compare to this products ability to remove my stubborn mascara.
The reason why I think this is super convenient and works so well is because it is a foam, no need for the stupid cotton pads that just add more garbage and don't really get the product distributed all over for easy removal of waterproof mascara. I can apply the foam and let it just hang out for like 30 second to help break up the mascara and the rest is fairly easy to remove. Also NO oil! I HATE that gross feeling.
I am sure there are better makeup removers out there but I haven't found them yet!
Recommendations?

*ASANTI BrightenUp! Okay I wish I could say this was most purchased but it really isn't because of the price. I just can't justify spending so much money on high end products right now in my life, when I win the lotto sure =D
This is what i have received in my Glymm Box in January so it is new to me but HOLY CRAP I LOVE this stuff! I am super picky on facial scrubs that I never ever can find a drug store one that i actually like.
After using this my skin feels amazing, clean soft and non flaky! If you ever get the chance to use this I would for sure recommend it.

*L'OREAL VOLUMINOUS Waterproof.. I hear of love and hate thoughts on this product. I have been using this for as long as I can remember and no matter what I ALWAYS have one of these in my massive mascara obsession to find the best mascara. I find the waterproof formula to be more of what I am looking for since it holds my curl and doesn't rub off easily. The formula isn't too wet or dry but it dries fast enough in between coats to not be annoying. If you haven't tried this I would recommend it. Voluminous gives my lashes length and fullness.

*MAYBELLINE Super stay 24hr Concealer. Wow this stuff really stays on my skin! Fortunately I actually didn't even need to use concealer until this year when my skin just went nuts and now I have some slight scarring. This completely covers it up and doesn't budge. The color matching is really my only complaint. This is slightly off from my skin tone so that is kind of a piss off =/

MAKEUP FOREVER HD Powder. I actually really like this, it does give a mattifing finish so if you want dewy this isn't for you. This helps create an airbrushed matte finish, helps make skin look flawless! I don't think it does last super long and the shine will come through if you have oily skin within a few hours but does anything make anything perfect forever?
I do think Elf's version is very comparable so if you want a cheaper price tag you can try that one and get similar results.

Those are a couple products I know I have mentioned about 1000 times since I started blogging.

Have you tried any of these?

Bath And Body Works

January Favorites!

1:00 AM

I missed December's favorites just because I wasn't really crazy in love with anything but this month I kinda am....

*MAYBELLINE'S BABY LIPS-Peppermint. This works great for me and I love the smell!!
*TOKIDOKI- The packaging is my FAVORITE! Very cute. This is a nice gloss with nice color, I love to use it after my baby lips!

*GIOVANNI Hair styling mousse- The is my HG mousse! LOVE IT! Cruelty free, enriched with organic bonticals. This is the ONLY mousse I have ever used and we all know I have used a million different kinds that ACTUALLY help give my blahh hair volume! LOVE this stuff and will continue to repurchase.

*SKULL CANDY ear buds- I go through these ridiculously fast since I listen to them pretty much all day at work, these were only $9 so if they wear out oh well!

BE ENCHANTED- Bath & Body Works Body Mist. Smells really fricken good!!

*BENEFITS BAD GAL Brown. Ahh this stuff is really nice! The wand is really unique with the shape, it works soooo well on my bottom lashes!
*NYC Eye/Eye Brow Liner in Black. This is probably my favorite drug store liner now, it goes on smooth and it is very black.
*MAYBELLINE Mineral Powder Concealer- LOVE this stuff! I can apply this to my whole entire face and wow what a transformation ;) just kidding...but it works really well to spot conceal things you need to! Matches my skin tone very well.

I have been trying to watch my spending so my blog has been a little boring for makeup products but I needed to cut back a bit on all the crap I buy!  But i'm in a shopping mood today so we will see what happens!

What has been your favorite for January?

Random Buys

1:00 AM

You know I totally enjoy reading people's post about all the crap they buy =D So here is a couple random things I have bought throughout the past couple weeks.

Okay ever since I read Gaby's post about her body butter she had recently bought I was thinking OMG I WANT SOME TOO =D
Oddly enough I don't actually think I have ever bought a full size body butter, I think I had been given a couple small ones throughout my life for a gift and thought when I saw this ahh what the hell I am buying it!
Well I lucked out, I had scratched a scratch and save thingy in the store and received 50% off my purchase So I got the Coconut body butter for $9 instead of $18
& the Holiday Cranberry Body Butter for $1! YES ONE FLIPPING DOLLAR!! lol That is the cheapest I think I have ever bought anything from there... There was a sale going on if you spent $35 you could get the cranberry body butter for a dollar and since I was buying a couple gifts there I spend $38 after the 40% off . I was pretty happy.
I am really quite in love with the coconut body butter, I love cranberry but I am not gonna lie I some how just smell alcohol or something with the cranberry one lol. It's okay but it just has something that links my mind to think of drinking! Damn I bought my mother the cranberry gift set =/ hopefully I am the only one who thinks that it smells a bit off!

Exotic ( I seriously swear it used to be called Exotica but some how the a has disappeared since my last bottle..does anyone know if I am crazy or what?)  This is my favorite burning oil ever! It's fruity and makes my house smell delicious!

*MACADAMIA DEEP REPAIR MASK - this is my second lil pack and holy crap love it!!!
*MAYBELLINE BABY LIPS in Mint
*GIOVANNI  Natural Mousse Air-turbo Charged
*MONTAGNE JEUNESSE ICE CRYSTAL Exfoliating and Cleansing Facial

I saved the best for last....

I was very hesitant for a LONG time to purchase a styling wand(is that what you even call it??) but I finally did when I found it on sale at beautychoice.com for around $100. Yes that is expensive and not something I was overly happy to purchase but I believe it was around $160 so I thought what the heck.... and I LOVE IT!!!! I will do a review on this(unless no one is interested :,( lol ) and show you everything it comes with and why it's so cool...

I am actually really liking everything so far....what is the latest of random things you have purchased?

Aquafina

Random New Products I am trying out!

10:40 PM

New to me products!
I have been on the hunt for a good facial serum that might help my skin look amazing...Does that even exist or are some people just born with nice skin? I am beginning to wonder!
I have read some reviews on a bunch of different ones, so I was kind of lost at what to look into. Since they are crazy expensive I don't want to blow a bunch of $$ on something that might totally suck. I was at one of my local drug stores and the lady working there raved about Lancome Visionnaire and told me I could have a sample of that as well as the Genifique. I of course feel guilty for trying these since they are not a cruelty free company, but it is EXTREMELY hard to cut them all out of your life... I mean there are a lot more then just beauty products being tested on animals. There is laundry soap to plastic bags to air fresheners to pet food to cleaners to dish washing detergent that test on animals, the list goes on and on.It is really upsetting and I really don't know how to cut everything out at once. So I am attempting the best I can with actually purchasing cruelty free products when I can but I do believe we need to attempt it with everything we use not just beauty products =/ .
But I did decide I would try thees samples out, as well with a couple other things I had purchased.

 *LANCOME GENIFIQUE-Youth Activator
*LANCOME VISIONNAIRE0-Advanced Skin Corrector
*ST IVES NATURALLY CLEAR GREEN TEA CLEANSER- $4.99
*MAYBELLINE CHIC NATURALS- Tastefully Taupe-$3.99 (On sale)

*CLEAN&CLEAR MARK TREATMENT-$4.99 (With a coupon for $3 off)
*AQUAFINA LIP BALM-$1.25 for 2 (Dollarama!) So strange to me that Aquafina makes lip balm! But I actually really like it.
*LIP SMACKERS LIP FROSTING in Birthday-$1 (Also Dollarama) Okay this isn't new to me but I haven't had it for years! And for a dollar why not!

Does anyone know of a great facial serum??? I need help! =D

Bath And Body Works

Empties!!

6:00 AM

I know I just did one of these posts but I already had enough to do another small one =D

More empties!

*Bath & Body Works Dark Kiss Triple Moisture Shower Cream
*Maybelline the Falsies Flared in Blackest Black
*Herbacin Kamille Hand Cream
*Clean & Clear Deep Cleaning Astringent

I probably won't repurchase the Dark Kiss body wash unless there is a good sale, it was pricey but does smell very nice!!

I have already purchased another Falsies Flared since it was on sale for $4 and that is fricken cheap, I really like this formula...I know this is a terrible company for testing on animals as well.. I am trying to weed them out and its fricken hard because good mascara is the only thing that I cannot stay away from =,(

My all time favorite hand lotion is Herbacin it makes your hands crazy soft and does not test on animals =D

Clean & Clear I know you are a bad company for animal testing =/  so I am staying away from you.

What were some empties you have had recently?

Regrets!

6:00 AM

Being a product junkie, most of you know what I am talking about, you always have the risk of buying things that totally sucked or just didn't work for you. Here are just a couple that I could toss in the trash and not care =/

*Nair Shower Power hair removal cream.Sadly I was disappointed in this product, It smelled unbearable to me for the lack of it actually working. I left it on for longer then stated and once I rinsed it off I still had the hair on my legs =( I have no tried it again and wouldn't recommend this one.. I have been reading some reviews on other products they have so I might give something else a shot.
*Neutrogena microdermabrasion system-I was very disappointed in this thing, it was around $40 and it felt like it was doing nothing for my skin as well the little pads it came with felt like there was no product on them and I actually had to use my cleansers with it. I would never recommend this. I would recommend the Olay professional Pro X instead of this if you are needing a cheaper alternative to the Clarisonic.
*Almay Clear Complexion Pressed Powder-I luckily got this from the clearance bin at Shoppers Drug Mart for under $5.. This is a very chalky type powder that just wasn't for me. It doesn't even apply well because it is so dry,its even hard to get on the pad it comes with. This is for sure made for very oily skin and might work well for you if you are needing something to tone that down a bit.
*Maybelline One by One Mascara-ehhh this really didn't do anything for my lashes not to mention it was all clumpy and gross after a few weeks. Did not make my lashes look longer or thicker so I will not repurchase this =/
*Garnier Fructis Extreme Hold Hair Spray-I think I got this for under $2 at Dollarama and I see why it was there.. It isn't extreme hold it should be called no hold as it was like spraying the weakest hairspray ever! I am glad It was so cheap and I wouldn't buy it again

That's pretty much all I got to say about these, I hope if you have tried them you had better luck then me...what is the latest worst product you have purchased?

June Favorites IN JULY!!

12:03 AM

So this is kinda later then I had planned but better late then never right?
Okay so I first saw the photo's of products in the Grass on  Fleur De Force's Blog and i LOVED IT!
Then I saw it on Gaby's Blog and I really really wanted to try it! I just loved the summery looking pictures, so I swear I'm not ripping it off it just looked nice =) But no laughing at my half green grass! ;)

These June fav's are basic and short! Kinda like me ;)

BERRY VANILLA Triple Moisture Body Cream- I know it is summer but I still find myself needing lots of moisture on my skin. This is great it smells amazing and it makes my skin happy!

NIVEA Essential lip moisturizer. I use this all the time all year round. I find it the perfect lip blam for me.

ALMAY  Smart Shade with SPF 15-This was on clearance at Shoppers Drug Mart for $4.99. I have heard mixed reviews on it. I thought I would give it a shot since it was more then 50% off regular price.

SWEET PEA- perfume is one of my favorites. Light fruity/Floral scent is perfect for summer.

FOX IN A BOX- This is such a good product for $5!

This is Truth or Dare. A light Blush & Bronzer in one.

ORGANIX COCONUT MILK anti breakage serum. This smells sooooo good! Love Coconut scents. This bottle will last me like a year I bet, just a tiny drop will work for the ends of your wet hair.

FALSiES Flared-This is one of my favorite drug store mascara's! top 3 I would have to say.

NAKED Palette- OF COURSE!! I FINALLY HAVE it and i honestly ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! I love every single color in here and I think they are perfect for everyone. Don't mind the cat hair on mind lol its like a velvety cover so it has Chicken & Boots fur stuck to it =)
That was pretty much all for my June favorites... I could have added the cotton candy candle from Bath & Body works but I am burning it as we speak...or umm type?

What was your favorite products in June?

Mascara

ThiS Vs ThAt!... Part 2!

9:21 PM

*THIS VS THAT*

There are many products out there that are fairly similar to each other maybe even from the same company but slightly different and of course I am a product junkie and like to test them out, here's what I think!

MAYBELIINE FALSiES Vs FALSiES FLARED

Most of you mascara junkies have tried the falsies flared by now as it seems to be crazy popular.

This product has a lot of great qualities:

"• Patented Spoon Brush fans out lashes from corner-to-corner, while our Pro-Keratin formula instantly builds volume without clumping
• Unique flexible wand helps to lift and separate lashes to provide the look of 300% more visible, fuller lashes, no gaps from any angle
• Contact lens safe and ophthalmologist-tested
• Washable, also available in Waterproof formula "

I do not have a fancy camera so you might not even be able to see the brush but here is the falsies brush:

It's curved, spoon like. I find this a good style for the bottom lashes as mine are pretty short and hard to get the mascara on without getting it all over my face.
The only 2 cons I can think of with this is it is soooo flakey and I ALWAYS have black specs on my face I HATE THAT.. As well This is so wet, I don't like dry mascara but I find this just too wet and takes wayyy to long to dry between coats.

RUNNER UP: FALSiES FLARED

I figured this would be similar to the FALSiES and it was similar but WAAY better!

"False lash glam with a flare, instantly!
• Patented Spoon Flare Brush fans out lashes from corner-to-corner, while our Kera-Fibre formula instantly builds volume without clumping
• Unique flexible wand lifts and separates lashes to provide the look of 300% more visible, lashes
• Contact lens safe and ophthalmologist-tested
• Washable, also available in waterproof formula"

So basically the same thing as Falsies

Terrible picture i know! But this brush is fatter and slightly different then the regular Falsies...

The difference I notice with this formula is it actually does "flare" out a LITTLE bit. I have VERY straight lashes and this gives it a slight curl. I don't get the flakes like I do with the regular falsies and I don't find it as wet, unless I am just used to it now =/ ?

I would for sure repurchase the flared version now that I have tested the 2 out. They are around $7 and are at any drug store.

Okay products number 2... I don't know why people say this is even comparable and I did actually put this on my blog when I purchased it but after trying the real deal I wouldn't have bought this....

URBAN DECAY NAKED Vs TOO FACED NAKED EYE

I tried to get this palette for almost a year, I searched online, I checked a couple cities around my city numerous times (I do not have Sephora around here =(  ) I even checked in Vegas when I went in February and NOTHING!! A Couple weeks ago I finally found this at Sephora.com and it was in stock! I jumped at the chance to get it, but it was EXPENSIVE... $58 but I think it will be worth it. I will have eye enough neutral colors for a LONNNG TIME! I have only used it twice so far but I am lovin it!
The UD Naked palette is much more pigmented, has a larger selection, packaging is so nice as well as it came with this REALLY nice shadow brush and a mini size of the Urban Decay Primer Potion. There are no con's with this palette.

RUNNER UP:Too faced Naked Eye:

This is very pretty, I do love all of the colors but I do not find this comparable in any way. These look like they are pigmented but they are more light then anything, I felt like I had to apply so much for it to be the color in the pan. The Stiletto is the most pigmented out of all of them, it works really well to set a liquid liner.
I believe it was around $35-$40, I did purchase it in Vegas so it was American pricing when I bought it. It's lovely but there is no way I will use all this and my UD Naked palette.

Last one....

URBAN DECAY PRIMER POTIONS:

EDAN VS ORIGINAL

Please excuse the packaging on my Edan bottle, it seem to wear off in just a few short months =/

Urban Decay's primer potion is my favorite eye shadow primer I have ever purchased, I have tried a few different kinds, cheap to expensive and Urban Decay wins...

I cannot use eye shadow without using a primer or it just creases by noon... so this is the perfect fix! I have found the original formula is more oily? maybe, it is more like a lotion to me then some of the primers I have tried, therefore this doesn't work the best with me.
I would not purchase this primer again....

This is Urban Decay's Primer Potion in Edan. This is more of a matte type of primer, it's kind of like a like eye shadow itself in this color. This sucks up any oil on your lids and keeps your eye shadow looking fresh.
This is the winner by far! I am not a big fan of the wand but they have now changed the packaging into a tube style so you are able to use the whole thing plus it is more sanitary.
This one I bought for my lil sis, so I only have the picture!
The only con that I really have is the price... it is $25 BUT it will last for a LONNGGG time so I really shouldn't complain about the price =/

Okay that might have been REALLLLY LONG this vs that.. I think I got a little bored half way through since my router kept messing up and I had to unplug it and start uploading the pictures again =( so If it was a little blahhh sorry!
