Argon Oil

November Favorites

6:18 AM

I kind of did a favorites earlier this month because I was so in love with some newer products but I still have a few others I have been using this month that I think are worth sharing!
Some of them are older that I have been using more since I forget about them all sometimes, and some are new.

*Wet n Wild Color Icon "NUTTY"
I have had this as a favorite before and I think I will again, it is so inexpensive and pigmented, I really like these shadows!
*Wet n Wild Color Icon "BRULEE"
This I had recently picked up, I have seen it on a ton of blogs and have been meaning to purchase it for a while. It goes nicely with Nutty
*Marcelle Soothing Cleansing Water
This is the current makeup remover I have been using and it's really nice! My skin feels clean and no residue or oily feeling after using.
*Josie Maran Argan Oil
I have had ehhh thoughts about this product, at least with my hair. I did purchase it months and months ago and with the hefty price tag I needed to start using it again other wise it is a big waste of money. I am currently using it on my hands and wow they are super soft! I am liking this more for skin then for my hair.

*Nyx Jumbo Eye Pencil "Milk"
Who hasn't seen this before? I am so late on having it but I seriously love using it after I apply my primer just to hold shadow in place or for more of a bright color on my lid. I used this for my Xmas party look and it stayed on until the am very nicely!

*Marcelle Power Volume Mascara "Black"
This mascara really does give me volume and length, I am liking it a lot lately but I still have to layer with a waterproof on top to make it look like I have nice lashes =/ I don't know how anyone with crappy eye lashes can just use one mascara, it really doesn't work for me!

*Philosophy "Raspberry Sorbet"
<3 this!!!!  This is a bit thicker/sticky so if you don't like that kind you need to stay away from it-for some reason I like when its thick, I feel like it  stays on longer but not so great when your hair sticks in it.

My hair is getting pretty long and I am in need of deep conditioners more then ever with the crappy cold. Here is the 2 I have been using the most.

I just throw this mostly on my ends before I go to bed once or twice a week and wash my hair in the am and wow it is crazy soft! I think this stuff really works.

*Macadamia Deep Repair Masque
I LOVE this masque! Honestly if I was rich I would use this all the time! But a full size jar of this is too expensive so I have just purchased this little packet and I can get a few uses out of it. This is a must try for sure!

Winter Must Haves!

12:01 AM

Winter is here and as much as I remember during summer wishing for the colder weather I am thinking maybe I was crazy?!? It is here and I am not loving it like I thought I would. We barely even had Fall this year so maybe that's why I am not too happy with Summer then straight to Winter =/
I know there is a lot of repeat products on my blog, I don't have high end things and maybe that is boring but I am not rich just yet so unfortunately it's kinda all the same =/

I have dry itchy skin in winter as well I find my hair is dryer then normal. It gets up to -45'C here and that is DAMN cold.So here are a few of my Winter Essentials I always have around my house...

DEEEEEEEP CONNNNDDIIITOOONNNER!!!! EVERYONE needs some of this! My Joico K-Pak is cruelty free so this is a good product to use! My hair is colored and prone to breaking and this is one of my favorites that I got at Winners for $20 and it will last at least a year.

I had just recently purchased this Lubriderm Advanced Moisture since I am kind of desperate for something that will help with winter dry skin and it was on sale for $4.99. I know it isn't cruelty free but I am kind of out of options with this, so please any suggestions would be appreciated!

This is my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE body scrub & body cream EVER!!!! The only bad thing is Bubs Soap Sudz is made by a lady outside of my city that goes to events a couple times a year so it really isn't excessable through out the year =(
I REALLY wish you guys could smell this!!! The scent "Happi" is really fruity and amazing, I can't even begin to gush over this smell I seriously want to eat it!!!All of her products are Sodium Lauryl Sulfate free as well Paraben free.I told the lady who makes this she should make a perfume and I would buy it all!
I bought a couple of these this year so it will have to last for a while.
I think a good scrub is really important to keep skin feeling soft and I moisturizers will work better without dry scaly skin!
Must have GREAT Lip balms over the winter especially! I do not have dry lips but once in a while in the winter I have to use these even more then regular.
I have been using the Nivea Essential for years and have like 5 of them right now so they come in handy.
I also really like this Aquafina lip balm with jojoba oil, almond oil and vitamin e, keeps my lips soft and smooth =D

I have SO MANY pairs of mitts and toques for winter so these are for sure a MUST have in winter! =)

Ohhh I almost forgot, if you are lucky you need 2 tickets to take a warm winter vacation!! i haven't been that lucky yet but maybe sometime soon =D

These are my Winter Must haves, what are some of yours??

Balea

Empties!

1:00 AM

I found the rest of my empties that I was thinking I forgot in my last empties post!

*Balea Reconstructive Hair Mask Lime Oil- I believe this was around $2 from Shoppers Drug Mart and I had never used it before but I was shocked at how well this worked! This mask is very thick, it was slightly difficult to apply since it was so thick but i LOVE thick hair masks so this was perfect. I expected it to be just like a regular conditioner for the price but I was surprised! My hair was soo soft after and REALLY shiny!! I will for sure purchase this again.

*Slatkin & Co Seaside Escape candle from Bath & Body Works $2- I love this scent! It is different from what I usually buy so it was a nice change.

*Merry Cranberry & Satsuma Home Fragrance Oil from the Body Shop- $7 each. I am in LOVE with Cranberry scents, they make your home smell amazing! I will repurchase this if I can ever find it again =/ The satsuma was alright but I won't be repurchasing it again.

*John Frieda Luxurious Volume Lavish Lift Blow Dry Spray-$7 from Shoppers Drug Mart. I actually didn't like this up until recently. I find it only works when my hair is half dry but it does leave kind of a residue in your hair. I think that is the only reason it worked since my hair is ridiculously soft when its just washed it's so hard to do anything with it. I probably won't repurchase unless it was on a crazy sale for a few dollars.

And that was the rest of my empties! Did you have any?

Deep Conditioner

Joico K-Pak Moisture Intense Hydrator Review

8:37 PM

Let me start off by saying WOWWWWW!!! LOVE THIS!!!!!

I have dry blahh hair and I have tried everything I can think of under $30 for deep conditioners and honestly I never am very satisfied with my result.

I have eyed this numerous times but always backed away from the price tag. I have seen this ranging from $22-25 for 250ml bottle. Pricey yes! Worth full price? That would be a more difficult question since I got this bottle on sale for $9.99 at London Drugs. Worth every penny, I probably would pay the $20 but that is damn expensive in my books for 250ml of product that doesn't put extra hair on my head ;)

This product is intense hydrator treatment for dry, damaged over processed unhealthy hair!

You can find this in all of Joico products - Quadramine Complex ,my stylist described it as something in healthy hair that is needed to repair damaged/fried/dyed hair. The key structural component of hair is keratin protein in the form of 19 different amino acids. The best way to fix the damage is to replace it with a type of Keratin that is naturally found in hair.

I love the consistency of this product, it is thick but not too thick.

I love the smell, I find most of Joico products have a really good smell. Salon type smell but not  a chemical smell.

I use this as  my deep conditioner a couple times a week and maybe once a month I will put this in my hair, braid my hair and sleep in it. My hair is CRAZY  soft after I wash it in the am!!

I absolutely love this product for my hair type.I think it would work with all hair types. I would recommend this product and repurchase it again.

What is your favorite deep conditioner??

Chatelaine

What oh What...

9:04 PM

I told myself I would run inside Shoppers Drug Mart quickly today...I might have been quick but I shouldn't have picked up the fricken basket so I can fill it up..... =/

Here is what I got:

*Glow Magazine
* Chatelaine Magazine(this is the subscription in the mail my sister got me =) but i thought i'd throw it in )
*Cosmopolitan Magazine
*Nivea Essential
*LaCoupe Volume Style Mousse
* LaCoupe Overnight Repair Miracle Mask

I haven't tried either of these LaCoupe products so I am interested in how they will turn out. The mousse is an alcohol free mousse so maybe that will be less drying on my hair?

ANDDDDD OF COURSE:
My weekly supply of Monsters! They were on sale 2 for $5 and I got the orange one for a friend, I owed him one.

What was the latest thing you picked up when you were just running in quickly but ended up buying a couple things?
