Blink 182

Mail Time!!

1:00 AM

MAIL!!!!!!!! My favorite posts from everyone, even though mine isn't as exciting as some it was still a really good mail month!
This is over a span of about a week and a half or 2 weeks since I don't get that much mail.(well other then bills of course =( and nobody likes those! )

My JAVABOI Shirts have arrived! Eric (Owner/Creator) twisted my arm and I finally got a couple ;) I am a massive coffee fan and these are really cute so it was worth it! I am currently working on the full post of the shirts but I just thought I would show the really cute packaging! Love it =)

My Blink 182 pre sale package FINALLY made it to my house!! I honestly felt like it wasn't going to show up since it was very difficult to get this since they don't ship to Canada... I will do a post on this too just in case any Blink fans wanna hear the story =D

Peta's cruelty free shopping guide,Chatelaine November issue, sample of Pantene Color care,Sample of Always infinity & sample of Cascade all in one dishwasher detergent.
I am very inspired by reading a few other blogs with the cruelty free products on their blog so I am still trying to slowly switch over, it will take me some time since I am unsure of how I will replace all my evil products with good ones, but I am trying!

I seriously do not remember where I signed up to receive this sample from? But it was pretty cool because the finishing creme is fairly big and will last quite a while.
Samples of:
*Root Awakening Nourishing Moisture Shampoo
*Root Awakening Nourishing Moisture Conditioner
* Root Awakening Strengthening Restoring Smoothing Lotion
*Frizz Ease Creme Serum Overnight Repair
* Frizz Ease Secret Weapon Finishing Creme

What was the last thing you received in the mail other then bills?

Balea

Empties!

1:00 AM

I found the rest of my empties that I was thinking I forgot in my last empties post!

*Balea Reconstructive Hair Mask Lime Oil- I believe this was around $2 from Shoppers Drug Mart and I had never used it before but I was shocked at how well this worked! This mask is very thick, it was slightly difficult to apply since it was so thick but i LOVE thick hair masks so this was perfect. I expected it to be just like a regular conditioner for the price but I was surprised! My hair was soo soft after and REALLY shiny!! I will for sure purchase this again.

*Slatkin & Co Seaside Escape candle from Bath & Body Works $2- I love this scent! It is different from what I usually buy so it was a nice change.

*Merry Cranberry & Satsuma Home Fragrance Oil from the Body Shop- $7 each. I am in LOVE with Cranberry scents, they make your home smell amazing! I will repurchase this if I can ever find it again =/ The satsuma was alright but I won't be repurchasing it again.

*John Frieda Luxurious Volume Lavish Lift Blow Dry Spray-$7 from Shoppers Drug Mart. I actually didn't like this up until recently. I find it only works when my hair is half dry but it does leave kind of a residue in your hair. I think that is the only reason it worked since my hair is ridiculously soft when its just washed it's so hard to do anything with it. I probably won't repurchase unless it was on a crazy sale for a few dollars.

And that was the rest of my empties! Did you have any?

Elf

Products I regret buying

1:00 AM

Here are some products I have been waiting to do a post on for a while just so I had a few to show.. luckily there wasn't too many I disliked.
Some of these might work for you guys but I really didn't have any luck with them and will not be repurchasing.

*Physicians Formula Happy Booster Glow & Mood Boosting Powder-$4 from Shoppers Drug Mart. I was SO lucky I found this on sale in the clearance section so $4 wasn't much of a loss. I have seen these at regular price for around $16! I would have been pissed if I paid that. The packaging is super cute and I have heard mixed reviews on this particular powder but I thought I would try it anyways. Well it was a waste of money, it doesn't do anything for my skin and it certainly doesn't boost my mood. I think the bronzer would have been a better one to buy but I only saw the powder =/

* got2b Fat-tastic instant infusion collagen root-boosting spray-$6 from Shoppers Drug Mart- Sad to say 90% Of any volumizing products do nothing for me but when I see them on sale and the bottle has these amazing claims I usually will give it a try. I am beginning to think I need to just fork out the money for a salon volumizing product rather then 10 drug store ones I dislike. This does nothing for my hair, it didn't leave it greasy or weighed down but it also did not add volume. I will not repurchase.

* Revlon Grow Luscious- I can't remember the price, it was over 6 months ago but I was hanging onto the tube for a post like this. I HATE having gross crunchy hard lashes and this is exactly what it did to mine. They feel like they are going to bust off...not my kinda mascara. It certainly didn't help grow my lashes in any way but maybe I wasn't using it long enough? I hope since there is a new version out they have changed the formula slightly.
*Hard Candy Split Personality Eye Shadow Duo- $7 from Walmart. I really wanted to like this but the application is pretty much terrible and I honestly haven't used it in a while and probably won't =/. You can read my review Here if you are wonder more why I disliked it.

*Revlon Color Stay Liquid Eye Pen-$9-Shoppers Drug Mart. This one was SUCH a waste of money, the only way you get a solid line of color is if you press fairly hard and go so slow! It is not pigmented very nicely and I have since tried the Elf & Fresh Joe felt tip eye liners and they have been amazing! There is a lot cheaper better alternatives out there!Maybe I got a bad tube or something but this wasn't what I was looking for.

What was the last product you purchased that didn't make it to your HG list?

Annabelle

ThiS Vs ThAt!... Part 3!

11:19 AM

Here we go for round 3!

JOHN FRIEDA LUXURIOUS VOLUME
Lavish Lift Blow Dry Spray
Creates Lift by Thickening strands for all-around dimension with a silky soft feel
Vs
GOT2BE FAT-TASTIC
Instant Infusion Collagen Root Boosting spray Mega-lift

I haven't had the best opinions on volume sprays. I don't really get much lift with them but I usually always will try any drug store kind when they have a good sale...you never know what could work with your hair!
Both of these were around $7 and I didn't have anything omg wow moments with them but I would have to say I like the John Frieda slightly better... Would I buy either of these again? probably not.

CHI SILK INFUSION
Silk Reconstructing complex
Vs
JOICO K-PAK
Color therapy.Restorative Styling Oil

This was a tricky one! I rate both of these products high in my books. I recently just started using the Joico oil, it was in June's month of Luxe Box and it is really nice. I Love Chi they smell soo good and it just feels silky on your hands.Chi silk infusion is ranged anywhere from $15-$20 I got this bottle in a set of a travel pack so the pricing isn't what it would be. I didn't purchase the Joico in a regular size but I believe the price is around the same. I just tried to find a price online but it varies so much I am not really sure =/
SOOO I pick Chi Silk Infusion =)

CARGO
Water Resistant Bronzer
Vs
ANNABELLE
Zebra Bronzing Powder in HAUTE GOLD

I purchased this Cargo bronzer last year I believe..and you can see I have tons left. I paid around $25 so it was pricey!!That is the most I think I have ever paid for a single little makeup product. And you might be able to guess it wasn't my best purchase. I think the color might be too dark for me, I like just a bit of bronzer since i'm pretty fair. But I do like the formula, it isn't too shimmery but not super matte. The Annabelle bronzer is really nice because it's not just one color, so it work's if you are more fair. I paid around $10 for this bronzer.
The better of the 2? I would say Annabelle's for sure. More affordable and is a really pretty color!

What is the latest products/makeup that you have tried that promised the same result but delivered way differently?
