May 2013 Empties!

TRESemme Heat Tamer Spray | Benefit Moisturizing Prep Toning Lotion | Philosophy Purity Facial Cleanser | Clear Root Boost Shampoo | It's a 10 Miracle Leave In | Seaweed Clarifying Toner | Vaseline Total Radiance Cocoa Body Butter

*TRESemme Heat Tamer- Who hasn't purchased this yet? It lasted a really long time, maybe because of my fine hair? It's your typical heat protectant. Why everyone on YouTube gives it such hype is beyond me? I just don't find it to be so shockingly great..maybe it's just me?

Would I repurchase? Yes because it's fairly cheap but it's not my favourite by any means.

*Clear Volumizing Root Boost Shampoo. Okay I was fairly shocked at how much I liked this drugstore shampoo. I like to buy salon shampoo but this was great, it smells nice and didn't dry out my hair. It did not volumize but does any shampoo really volumize?

Would I repurchase? Yep!

*Benefit Moisturizing Prep Toning Lotion- This was from a monthly subscription box and it took me FOREVER to use it up. It was really different from any toner I have ever used.It was thick and moisturizing. It wasn't amazing to me despite all the good reviews I read but I was glad to try it out.

Would I repurchase? Negative.

*It's a 10 Miricle Leave in Product. <3 this product. How handy is it to have everything you need for your hair all in one bottle? It did help condition and volumize my hair, I would use this everyday if it wasn't for the price. I can't justify regularly spending almost $30 for a teeny tiny ass bottle of product that doesn't last that long.

Would I repurchase? If I was rich I would always repurchase!!!

*Philosophy Purity Facial Cleanser. AMAZING! This stuff is my all time favorite cleanser! I received this in another monthly subscription box and am so impressed. My skin felt soft clean and refreshed! It removed my eye makeup as well so it was really awesome.

Would I repurchase? I guess I need to see the price...but again if I was rich HELL YES I would purchase.

*Body Shop Seaweed Clarifying Toner- This stuff smells amazing to me, I really liked this toner! I am one of those people that doesn't notice much when I am using toner but if I had to pick any that I have tried I really liked this one. I felt it did help control oily skin slightly, nothing shocking but I did notice when I wouldn't use this my skin was more oily throughout the day.

Would I repurchase? Yes

*Vaseline Total Moisture Cocoa Radiance Body Butter- This is my absolute favorite body butter I have ever tried actually. The smell is incredible! I could eat it. I have since purchased the regular cocoa radiance lotion and pretty much love it. This is fairly moisturizing, but the smell wins me over the most.

Would I repurchase? Oh yeah!

Have you tried any of these? What's your recent empties?

Bath And Body Works

April 2013 Empties

1:30 AM

I have the biggest pile of empties I have had in a long time so there will another post soon!

*SIMPLE Smoothing Facial Toner
This was a product I found too close to water for me, I think it would probably work okay with super sensitive skin but for my combo skin this wasn't the best fit with me.
Would I repurchase? Negative.

*VICHY Normaderm
I bought this on a whim when it was on sale and I was pretty happy with this moisturizer, while it didn't fix my imperfections it did moisturize nicely without a greasy residue.
Would I repurchase? Yes if the price was good.

*VICTORIA SECRET Pretty & Pure All Over Body Mist
Flipping LOVE this scent. Fruity and girly, my favorite.
Would I repurchase? YES!

*CLEAN&CLEAR Deep Cleaning Astringent
I seriously don't know why I always buy this but I remember my older sister buying it when I was young and for some reason I always buy it since lol. I don't even know if Astringent is the same as a toner but I always seem to use this.
Would I repurchase? Apparently because I have for years.

*JERGENS Ultra Care Moisturizer
This seems like my go to lotion when I am on the hunt at my nearest drug store, I can't say I notice an amazing difference in my skin after using it but the consistency is a bit thicker and I do find it makes my skin feel nice and soft.
Would I repurchase? Yes

*BATH & BODY WORKS Peppermint Mini Candle
YUM! This is one of my favorite scents from B&BW I guess it smells like candy canes or gum but I love it!
Would I repurchase? Yes!

* THE BODY SHOP Coconut Body Butter
Who doesn't love this stuff? It smells absolutely amazing! I think this is way too overpriced but if you catch it on a sale it's worth it.
Would I repurchase? Only if the deal was super good, I don't find this give me any better moisture then my Vaseline Body Butter which is WAY cheaper.

*BATISTE Coloured Dry Shampoo-Black
My LOVE! I seriously need Batiste in my life and wish I could find the coloured dry shampoo around here. I found this once at Winners and I purchased 2 bottles and it was over 2 years ago I think. I have been using this sparingly and finally just used the last of it =(
Would I repurchase? In a heart beat!

*L'OREAL Voluminous Power Collagen
Ahh L'oreal I know how evil you are but yet you are my go to mascara brand. This mascara plumps up my thin lashes and makes them noticeable.
Would I repurchase?Sadly yes.

Those are all the empties I could gather together today, i'm so unorganized it's ridiculous.

Love doing empties posts, out with the old in with the new.

Body Shops Coconut Body Butter. Who hasn't purchased one of their body butters at least once before. In LOVE with this smell, reminds me of summer when I was a kind, sunscreen maybe but damn it smells good. As for moisturizing it's not my top pick. These suckers cost around $21, so only purchase these when they have good sales!

Would I repurchase? Possibly if they had a good sale, not for full price.

Garnier Fructis Triple Nutrition is another one I have been suckered into buying quite a few times, usually is around $3 and really detangles my hair without weighing it down. Nothing special but if I am out of my healthy sexy hair then this will do.

Would I repurchase? Yeah I probably will

Lancome Hypnose Drama sample,L'oreal Voluminous Power Collagen and Lancome Hypnose Doll Lashes, also sample mascaras.
I am a mascara obsessed maniac. I will buy more mascara looking for the one then one human needs in their life time. I have had the Lancome ones for seriously way too long. But I was kinda saving the tubes for an empties post. They were actually not too bad of products but still didn't beat my L'oreal Voluminous anything mascara.

Would I repurchase? The L'oreal yes! I am in love with most of their mascaras and they are the only ones that give me eyelashes.
Does anyone have recommendations for eyelashes in a tube?

Neurtrogena Acne Stress Control. I don't even know when I purchased this but it wasn't anything exciting, the microbeads are a bit too tiny for my likings. There is 2% salicylic acid in it so if your skin agrees with that then its alright.

Would I repurchase? Nahhhhh

Wen's Sweet Almond Mint Cleansing Conditioner. Man this stuff is just strange when you are new to it. I watched the infomercial for about ummm 3 years before I committed to the ridiculous prices. This product can make your hair crazy soft and smell delicious if you use it correctly. If you don't then your hair is greasy and weighed right down. The theory of this product is great and I think it's perfect if you don't have a LOT of hair. The amount of product you use is unreal and you would go through more product then worth it.

Have you tried Wen? What did you think of it?

Would I repurchase? Possibly now since I cut off all my hair and this will be much easier to use then on my loooonnnggg hair before.

Well my empties posts aren't as exciting as some of yours out there but I can't afford all those high end shannagins that some of you have!

What is your last empty you had?

7:21 PM

I could use a million different skin care products, and I usually only buy drug store products as high end ones are too much $ for this girl. I have pretty basic boring skin (which is a good thing I suppose) It is fair and not too sensitive so I don't have to be picky picky with what I try out. As usual I have way too many products that I find on sale and want to try so I have quite a lot to show, here are just a few that i regularly use.

A few of these are repeats from previous blog posts but I will just quickly mention them

I found a few good sales at Shoppers Drug Mart and Olay was the culprit!I got like 3 or 4 different Olay products for around $4 each, it was a crazy good sale so I had to stock up.

(info from left to right)

-First item is Olay dual action cleanser + pore scrub-this is just a slight scrub so it is good for everyday use

-Next is my new luv, this is the Body Shop Seaweed deep cleansing facial wash that i use with my "cheapo's Clarisonic" .Love this with the Toner after wards then the mattifying cream/gel moisturizer as well for  light moisture for your face, great for oily skin!

I am still liking the Clean & Clear make up removing wipes. Great price for how well they work, I usually get them for around $5.00 at Superstore

-The Loreal go clean 360 I had bought a few months ago and it was pretty pricey but lasted quite a long time. I used that almost everyday and it had a very pleasant apricot smell-way better then the St. Ives smell. The bottle is so empty that the picture didn't look very good close up =/

-Then if I ever am need a STRONG acne fighting product this is the one that will dry your skin right out!Clean & Clear Persa-gel 5, I believe I paid around $11.00 for this but it will last forever as I am lucky I don't have to use it very often. But this will dry out any spot you need to use it on. It's not a miracle worker but it really helps! If you have sensitive skin I wouldn't recommend this as it can leave my skin red where I have applied it if I used too much.

-I don't know if it is just me but I always loved the smell of Noxema and when I saw these Anti-Blemish Pads I picked them up. I think these are great for someone who just needs a quick wash on the face with out needing a sink or water... or if you are just feeling a little lazy ;)

-Lastly I decided to give this Gariner Ultra-Lift (since I am getting Old and wrinkley =(  ) a shot, I think that Gariner is a really good affordable line for anyone who doesn't want to break the bank on products. I have been using this little tube for probably 2 months now, everyday and still have 3/4 left if not more. It doesn't do anything super magical but I would recommend it for a cheaper then the Olay version one.

And I don't actually use all of this everyday, this is just EVERYTHING that I have that I rotate and use random ones on different days, just depends what I feel like using that day =)

Does anyone ever use an aspirin mask? I think I was one of the couple ppl out there who had never heard of it before... in case you are the other person here is a quick blurb about it!

What you need:

Some Aloe Vera Gel (optional)

And good Old Aspirin

And lastly a couple (literally) a couple drops of HOT water!
I use a Styrofoam plate, put 2 or 3 aspirin's on it, put 2-4 drops of hot water, depending on how thick you want it.
Then a pump or so of Aloe.
Then apply to face (this works as an scrub as well)
Only let sit for a couple minutes so it won't irritate your skin.
Why would anyone want to do this you ask?-that's what I thought til i tried it!Aspirin is  a form of Beta Hydroxy Acids or BHA’s.Are found in many skin creams and work by exfoliating the dull, dead layers of skin, revealing fresh new skin underneath. Over time, BHA’s can help clarify skin tone and promote healing of blemishes.
Excuse the ugly ass plate but I don't overly want to use my plates I eat off for something I wash my face with haha. So this is what it will look like :
Looks pretty gross but it helps reduce redness and your face is crazy soft after!!

What do you use for skin care products? Anything you would recommend or huck in the garbage?

These are just a few things i have been liking in February... they might not be anything to special but I think they are worth checking out!

*HAir CaRe*

I just started trying out Chi products, i always look at them but i just don't like the price tag, so i thought i would test out a mini version of the Chi silk infusion and it is awesome! It is a heat protectant and makes your hair feel fairly soft. It also says it is for skin so that was kind of weird but after you put it in your hair you can rub it in your hands and its so soft! I got this little tester size for like $2.00

Every Guru on YouTube talks about this so i had to test it out. It is an inexpensive heat protectant that you can buy that actually works. It's not amazing but it is worth the $6 and I will try anything to save my hair from being fried.

Next is Bed Head After Party- This product is great for after you blow dry, flat iron, or after any styling tools used on your hair. It is a smoothing creme that makes your hair smell great and gives it a silky touch. You only need a little bit of this so it will last fairly long, I got this one for around $10.00

Love this L'oreal Elnett hair spray! It is my all time favorite hair spray. It isn't crunchy but it will hold your hair in place, it says on the bottle that it brushes out-and it actually does. The only problem I find if i used to much and when i brush it out it will leave some residue behind but other then that its great.

I have been using a lot of L'oreal products lately, I purchased this mouse after I saw the commercial ( yes i fell for that) and it is to add volume to your hair. It doesn't give me anything worth bragging about but it helps for sure and it is reasonably priced, I am pretty sure it is the same as their last studio mouse that came out in the white bottle- just different packaging. But it was worth a try. It does have a nice scent to it and does not make your hair all greasy feeling.

This is definitely my favorite face wipe ever! I have been using them for a couple months now and they are awesome. These wipes removed most makeup and works pretty good on water proof mascara, These wipes are only like $5.00, so worth it!

My new FAVORITE face wash & Toner! LOVE this stuff. I have mentioned this product before, i had the travel set but I was at the Body Shop on the weekend and it was a 2 for 1 deal so for $12.00 I had to buy it. This stuff really cleans your skin and is great for oily skin. The smell is really nice as well.

I cannot even say how much i love this lotion, it smells so fricken good I could eat it!! If you are not a big scent person then it might be a bit much as it has quite the smell- I can't even explain the smell I am terrible at describing smells. It is moisturizing and smells so great. This product is very expensive so I only buy it once or twice a year. A bottle can run up to $25. I did find some bottles on ebay for half the price so I might try that next time.

*FraGraNce*

The new Escada TAJ Sunset is AMAZING-as all of their perfumes are. I didn't buy the bottle just yet- I will! but I know a lady who works in the perfume section at the Bay where i live and she gave me a handful of a bunch of samples to try, This one is sweet and fruity, very tropically. Reminds me of summer-great scent! I find that these aren't very strong, or they don't last on me all day but I still will purchase since it is such a nice smell!

And the last favorite is just for fun-as it is snowy and cold here, i just got inside from shoveling a good foot and then some of snow!
My skull mitts! It was somewhere between -25'C and -31'C- My IPhone cannot decide what the temperature is but it is so COLD!!!

Hopefully these were not all old products everyone has already seen before. What were your February Favorites?

Bath And Body Works

ReCenT BuYs

3:50 PM

I have been doing  a little shopping in the last few weeks and found some wicked sales so i went a little over board at a couple places..opps!

Here is some things i bought at Bath and Body Works, I seriously could buy everything in the store!!

I got all this stuff for around $60, which might sound like a ton but it was actually a good price.. there was a lip gloss also that i for got to put in the picture.
I got:-Deep Aqua cooling mist
         -3 Hand sanitizers
-a massive 3 wick Pineapple Orchid Candle that is so delicious
-a mini candle Pineapple Mango scent
-3 hand soaps of their new fragrances they just came out with in Canada
         -Sweet Pea Body scrub
         - and last but not least a Vanilla Mint Lip Gloss

And of course afterward the kids like to play in the bags!

Next i went to the Body shop and picked up the travel size of the Seaweed facial wash, toner, day and night creme. I have watched reviews on this product and Saaammage mentions it in a couple of her videos. Here is a Link to that video: Saaammage. It definitely makes your skin feel clean!

The next purchase i got was at Sephora In Las Vegas! I have been on the hunt for the Urban Decay Naked palette for umm about 8 MONTHS and no city i have gone to has it!! i have tried to get it online for months and right after my last order online i got an email saying it was in stock, figures so i wasn't going to pay double shipping. I think i am giving up on it... I decided I will try the Too Faces Naked Eye.I have heard quite a few good reviews on this pallet and i will give it a try.

I have only had the chance to use it once but it has very nice neutral colors in it that will go with everyday or dress it up for night looks.

I am really liking Benefit products lately, i had gotten the sample of this product from Sephora and loved it so i had to buy the full size of it. It was only $10 so what the heck!

And LASTLY MY LOVE!!!! I had to get a few Monsters as they were on sale for: 4 for $7.99-Yes that is expensive but i usually pay $3 per Monster and i LOVE them!!! I usually have up to 6 a week =/ yes that is bad for me but it is the one thing i cannot live without. =)
