Ecotools Eye Perfecting Brush Review

10:20 AM

"Reduce the appearance of fine lines or dark circles around eyes with the EcoTools Eye Perfecting Brush. The brush features uniquely cut, rounded tip bristles that mimics the shape of a finger for easy application under and around the eyes without tugging sensitive skin or transferring oils from the hands.
Designed with straight, firm and dense bristles, the Eye Perfecting Brush allows for optimal bending and coverage to take on fine lines and even the darkest of under eye circles.
The Complexion Collection has beautifully designed, uniquely beautiful ferrules to elevate the look and combine elements of beauty and science."
I cannot stress enough how much I LOVE Ecotools brushes, cruelty free to start with and the quality is so amazing especially for the price.
I have purchased brand name expensive brushes and I honestly always go back to Ecotools 90% of the time. I was very happy to test this one out!

LOVE LOVE LOVE the shape, goes so smoothly across your under eye area.
This is a unique cut so there is less pulling around the eye area. The bristles are straight and firm but yet soft,which is needed!

It may be a little difficult to see the end of the brush but it's nice and fairly soft. I really like the look of the blue with the yellow leaves on the bamboo handle!

RESULTS! EXCUSE MA FACE =O

Sadly I am getting wrinkles under my eyes, I like to blame it on the insomnia because I don't have crows feet or anything yet, so I don't exactly know why these STUPID lines are appearing!!!!! At least I do still get ID'd if I buy lotto tickets when my tattoos aren't showing..but maybe thats because of my height LOL.

Brush fits nicely under the eye

Okay so I used an under eye concealer as well tried with a light bb cream to see if there would be a difference and I am sad to say I didn't notice my lines disappearing! This isn't Botox! WHAT? ;)
Maybe I am doing it wrong? LOL. I cleaned off my face and actually just used it for powder around my eye and i quite enjoyed that!

I will be playing around with this more to see if I can come up with maybe a better solution of what I was working with, I am not in love with the lines on my face still but I kind of think that doesn't go away no matter what, that's just my wishful thinking LOL.

I do think if you are an under eye concealer person this brush would be great for you if you don't want to use your fingers, I didn't find the brush absorbed much product and blended out easy with the bb cream, maybe my concealer was too thick or maybe I need a primer first? I don't really use under eye concealer since I always find it enhances my poor little lines but I would recommend this brush for anyone who does do the nice under eye brightening look!

My ordinary favorites….

1:01 AM

I dunno about you guys but switching jobs sure can put a damper on the spending part in life. I recently got a "promotion" but a massive pay cut which makes no sense so I might need to quit that job asap so I can pay my bills since my photography isn't bringing in much income these days =0

Enough blabbing right! Here is my random favourites I have that aren't new but some aren't old….. need to use up some major products in the next few months…..

*ANNABELLE Biggy Bronzer
*SEDONA LACE Large Angled Contour Brush
*L'OCCITANE Dry Hand Cream (LOVE ITTTTTTT!)
*ECOTOOLS Skin Perfecting Brush
*MAYBELLINE Clean Express Makeup Removing Wipes
*NICOLE Drying Drops - Why the hell didn't anyone tell me about these before?!?!?!?!?!
* SALLY HANSON XTREME WEAR Nail Color in Pacific Blue
*My 2 favourite rose rings my sister got for me from her amazing city in British Columbia….so jealous.
*BATISTE XXL VOLUME-seriously like my third can and this stuff goes a long way. LOVE IT!

I heart all these products and use them almost daily oh wait! I forgot my ULTIMATE FAVORITE

My XTREME LASHES. Seriously feel like I can't live without them, makes life SO much easier not having to wear mascara! You can get ready in like 2 minutes other then drying your hair its just amazing to me. I originally got them as a gift for being the maid of honour in the recent wedding I was in but I did end up getting a fill and man I am so sad I won't be able to do that again unless I get another job asap. I want to do a review, but I feel like all my blog is reviews since I really am not interesting and don't have much in this brain to share lol so I don't wanna over load the couple of people who read this with just reviews ;)

I hope everyone had an amazing weekend, What is your most recent favourites? old or new… and have you tried any of these before?

EcoTools Skin Perfecting Brush

"Achieve a natural look while evening out skin tone with this two-tone brush,specially designed to smoothly apply BB/CC creams and tinted moisturizers. The angled edge is ideal for precise application around the nose and under eyes. Let your natural glow shine through with our hand-cut tapered design that allows you to apply your skincare products with sheer but complete coverage. Our brushes are safe and effective alternative to using your finger!"

It's my new fav! I was kindly sent this brush from Farelyco.ca and it took me long enough to review since I was peeling like crazy from my recent mexico trip….but here we go!

I always Love EcoTool's packaging and appearance of their affordable products, it's just so earthy I guess maybe that's why?

So I was using Dr. Jart+'s BB cream to test out this baby.  I am simple, I use powder 99% of the time, lip gloss and mascara but the odd time when my skin is looking a tad sickening like today I need to use BB cream.
I do switch from fingers to beauty blenders to brushes and always go back to fingers because I am lazy that way? LOL

The bristles are super soft on this brush which of course you have to love because who wants to use sandpaper bristles to apply anything to their face? right!

This skin perfecting brush was sooooo incredibly nice to use around my eye area and nose like they specify. It didn't absorb too much product or make a mess of my face. I patted the brush over blemishes and everything covered really nicely. This combo is one I will be reaching for more often then not.

There is absolutely no con to this brush what so ever, the price is great $9.99 and it works like it says it does.
Me being me I had to test this out  with foundation as well just out of curiosity and since I am no makeup artist I am not breaking any rules right?
I only have Cover Girl outlast 3 in 1 foundation right now so I tested it with that…since that is a thicker foundation with the primer included it didn't work out nearly as well as a more lightweight product but it still doesn't make me frown upon this brush.
I didn't have any fall out any of the times I washed the brush either so that was a plus since my Sedona Lace bushes did and I paid WAY too much for those =(
If you are sick of using your fingers, adding extra oil or bacteria to your skin this is a great alternative.

This brush is available Farleyco.ca
* London Drugs
*Select Brunet
*Select Lawton Drugs
*Select Pharmasave
*Select Uniprix

ECOTOOLS Bamboo 6 Piece Brush Set

8:18 PM

I live a simple plain pretty boring life so when I was sent these brushes to review I was absolutely ecstatic! I have heard many great things about these brushes so of course it was a great opportunity to try them out.

I have been playing around with these brushes for the past 5 days now and I can give you a guaranteed positive review....

ECOTOOLS Bamboo 6 Piece Brush Set

Here are some great things about them before you even use them:

* Natural & Recycled Materials
* Cruelty Free Bristles
* Reusable Storage Pouch
*PETA has awarded them from their synthetic brush hairs
*Often compared to MAC
*Very Affordable Price
*Nice Packaging

In this set there are 5 brushes & a storage pouch

 This is the blush brush, this is very soft and is very nice to apply a solid or loose powder

 This is the Eye Shadow brush that I so far like the best out of any eye shadow brush I have ever tired.. I have never tried any high end brushes though, just Sephora type brushes are the most expensive i've used.

 Concealer Brush. LOVE this brush.works perfectly for concealer on those ugly blemishes or discoloration in your skin.

The angle brush is really great, I use this for my gel eye liner and it works really well.

Lash and brow groomer, to be honest I don't ever use mascara combs, I don't feel like they go through my lashes. But the brow groomer is great for your brows!

All of these brushes are very worthy of the low cost they are and i HIGHLY recommend them if you need an affordable set or if you are just beginning to play around with make up. The only thing that would have been nice to add to the set is a blending brush, but that wouldn't effect my decision of buying them or not.

You can find ECOTOOLS online at Farleyco.ca and ECOTOOLS.

I was checking out some other products on the Ecotools web site and they look really nice! I haven`t seen any in stores but I might have to order some online soon!

Have you tried out any Ecotools products ?
I am not being paid or persuaded for my opinion... i highly doubt anyone would ever pay to hear what comes out of my mouth ;) but I am grateful to post my opinion and have a couple readers :)
