New To Me, New To You?

1:02 AM

I am excited to test out a couple new products, from my Topbox, a mascara from Walmart AND I was SUPER lucky to try Frownies which I will have a full review coming up in the next month =)

I haven't had the chance to try Benefits Total Moisture Facial Cream before, I know it's probably old to you but my bank account doesn't allow me to test out higher end products very often…I did receive this in my February TopBox =D

So Susan water based Pure Luminizer. I have been trying to find something similar to this for a while now so I am pretty stoked about trying it out! I really don't get much opportunity to wear anything but mascara since my life is dull and I work in a shop LOL. (Cruelty Free)

Excuse the dead grass, shockingly there is some starting to peak through the piles of snow =)
Rimmel ScandalEyes retro Glam I saw the add for this and was like yep MUST TRY!!!!! It better be good!

Saved the BEST for last…..

Frownies  anti-aging skincare. I couldn't be more happy, embarrassed sad, but mostly happy to try this out. I am just under 30 but I do have some wrinkles creeping up on me and I am not okay with that!!!! I have watched a few trusted Youtubers that have quite enjoyed this product so I have high hopes =)
I will have an in depth review to embarrass myself LOL showing my wrinkles ahhhhhhh…….
& they are cruelty free =)

So have you tried any of these products yet? How did or didn't you like them??

Garnier

Drug Store ReGRETS!

12:15 AM

One of my favorite posts to read is the things people don't like, is that strange or is it just helpful?
I am not dissing these products but they really just did not work for me and I was very disappointed!

*GARNIER Skin Renew Dark Spot Corrector Clinical $11.99
Of course I was very hesitant when purchasing this but I do have some marks on my skin that I would be happy to erase, I have been using this for a couple months and I have no luck as of this even doing anything. I am not surprised since it is cheap and I even hear negative feed back from Clinique dark spot corrector and that stuff is stupid expensive. This tube is really massive for what the cost is and now a days you really don't get something amazing in a large size for so cheap, I should have known better. =/

*RIMMEL Scandal Eyes $7-8(I don't remember for sure but it was around this price)
Okay this is just ridiculous! I love the idea of the large brush but this was just so big it like swallowed my eyes when I tried to apply to my lashes. The brush is so large that it wouldn't even go through my lashes properly as well the formula is way too wet for my likings.

*NYX Shadow in Sparkle Cedar -$7.99
Ekkkk that was a lot of money for something I REALLY dislike. This shadow is really nice, the color just really didn't look nice on me. Too shimmery or something. It is decently pigmented and applies really nice but just looked like crap on me! Hopefully my sister will want to adopt this shadow.

What was your last product you were disappointed in?

Garnier Fructis

Random Drugstore Buys!

6:52 AM

Sometimes I am glad I don't live in the U.S because seriously you guys have such amazing shopping, and for some strange reason I have an obsession with drug stores, I ALWAYS want to go in them and check out what they have! Anyone else?
There are so many more options in American ones too then Canadian ones so my bank account would hate me if I lived there!

These are just some random things I found on sale, I totally believe in buying things on sale rather then full price, and use coupons!

First I was at Shoppers Drug Mart
*GARNIER FRUCTIS Crystal  Resist Hair Spray- $2.99 (  I realized after it is even cheaper at Walmart)
*RIMMEL Scandal Eyes $6.74, I am not sure what the regular price is but it said it was on sale, and I since I have no self control I purchased this!
*GARNIER FRUCTIS Color Shield- $2.99 (again it was like 2.75 at walmart, ops) I know these products aren't cruelty free but I am having a hard time finding decent priced things some days and sadly $ wins sometimes =(  This works really well to detangle my crappy hair and help keep color lasting.
*BATISTE my <3 in Blush -$6.99 totally didn't NEED this but for $3 cheaper then regular and I know I will use it I mays well!

Okay this brush is INSANE! I think it's as big as my hair brush!;) I always think I like massive brushes but I really don't sadly so far I am not loving this. I will try it more and see if I can figure out why I think I like fat brushes but I think its not good unless you have some crazy full lashes which I do not =(

*LIVE CLEAN Sweet Pea Hand Soap -$4.99. Okay this stuff is EFFING amazing! It smells delicious, makes your hands soft and it is free from all that crap that shouldn't be in products we put on us! Cruelty free as well. Very nice soap!
*Lindt Snow Balls- $0.99. Okay who's bright idea was this? Jerkface! I seriously will eat this in like 10 minutes.Sure didn't need these but man are they good!

REDKEN Color Extend $19.99. Okay I am completely fed up of buying a million different shampoo's and seeing my color run down my shower drain. I know there is no solution to completely save your color but I refuse to use drug store shampoo's any longer. This isn't going to stop my color from leaving my hair but I know it works and this bottle will last me for like a year I bet. I still have the conditioner I purchased almost a year ago, I don't use it every wash but every couple I do and they last for so long.

That is all my drug store purchases for the past few weeks. What was the latest you've bought??

Cosmopolitan

More Crap I probably Didn't need

1:00 AM

Going into Shoppers Drug Mart when there are sales is just dangerous! I spent too much there as usual but I had to pick up a couple things for a friends birthday so I will blame part of that on her bday! ;)

I tried to limit what I picked up for myself since I really don't need any of this.....
Well Except the cosmo I NEEDED that =)

*Decembers Cosmo-I actually said who is the girl on the front, ops its Adele.
You always need good magazines so this is valid right?
*Lubriderm Advanced Moisture-On sale for $4.99
Dry winter itchy skin, Needed this right?
*Rimmel Vinyl Gloss-On Sale for $4.99
Okay yeah yeah I really didn't need another lip gloss to add to my ridiculous collection but it was on sale and the color is so pretty!
*L'oreal Voluminous Million Lashes in Carbon Black- On Sale for $6.99 with Bonus Eyeliner.
Yes this is EVIL but I still haven't found a replacement... I thought I did but it was a false alarm =/
*Batiste Dry Shampoo Tropical- $9.99
I can't have greasy hair so I needed this too!

Here is a close up of this gloss, it is in "Take a Chance". Very pretty! As well I really liked the font they used for the name...no that's not why I bought it but I did like it!

Okay so some of this stuff I bought I kind of needed but probably not all of it =/ I did get some tooth paste and coffee cream too but I don't think we need pictures of those lol.

What was the last thing you bought that you didn't need?

What are Saturdays best for? Hanging out?Sleeping?Shopping?

All of the above but I decided I would go shopping this Saturday and picked up a few things and here's what I got!

I was in need of some new jeans that weren't three inches too long dragging everywhere and i found some! We recently just got a Boathouse in my city and I really am loving that store. It's kinda like a wanna be "skate shop" I used to always hate stores like this and always liked the real skate shops buttttt my city sucks for them so Boathouse is pretty good.
*Harlow Fiona Flare Fit-$49.99-This was a little more $$ then I usually spend on jeans but they are super comfy!
*Harlow Riley Flare Fit-$39.99
*Volcom Black & Pink Hoody- this is INSANE btw lol I haven't bought a hoody for this price in YEARS!!! $69.99 yikes..but I really liked it!
*Atticus Shirt-$9.99,regularly $24.99 - From D-tox
*BW Shoes-$15.99 regularly $44.99 from Shoe Warehouse

I am a pretty casual dresser, and had been stuck in officey clothes for the passed 2 years so it was nice to buy some regular clothes for a change.

Next we went to Shoppers to kill some time before our last stop....

I am such a sucker for sales and find it so much more justifiable to purchase some things when they are like 50% off

*Crest 3D White Tooth Paste-$3.99, regularly $5.99
*Scope White-$2.99 Regularly $5.99
*Noxzema Cleanser in a travel size-$2.99
*Cover Girl Nature Luxe Mascara Mousse in Very Black-$9.99-Pricey!! but I wanted to try it out since it is new..not impressed so far =/
*Rimmel The Max Volume Flash in Extreme Black-$4.99-regularly $7.99

Okay now for the fun part!!!
We popped into Dark Day Tattoo & Piercing and decided hey lets get something pierced...

I had my ears pierced when I was little but one of them got ripped out and i had to get my ear lope stitched up and never got them repierced...

There it is! It actually kind of hurt, I think it was from it being pierced on the scar.
It was weird to have them done now because when I was like 5 they used a dirty ass gun to pierce it and they put studs in-I guess maybe because I was 5?
My friend got one on her ear, upper ear on the inside, I don't even know what it was called =/ but it looks really good!

That was my Saturday....what did you do?

Hard Candy

oKAY oKAY ....

9:39 PM

Since I have started this blog I have really realized that i have been spending a lot of money on products...i might have spend a LITTLE bit more since this blog started but nahh probably not. I guess i justify it because i usually buy sale items! Anyways here we go again... =)

I used to use Maybelline Full N Soft ALWAYS when I was younger and all of a sudden I couldn't  find it anymore I actually thought it was discontinued or something...Then i was at my mom's house last week and I was telling her about the one by one mascara I just bought and she said she thought she had it as well... but it was the full N Soft she was thinking of, i was surprised that they still made it! I have searched and searched for this mascara and no luck until the other day I went to a Walmart in a town close to my city and they had it. Needless to say I got it, it was only $7 so really not too much.

I do not have much experience with Wet n Wild products but a lot of YT guru's seem to be liking this. This high pigmented shadow is in the color Nutty and it was only $2! It is definitely worth $2 and then some. The color is great and I actually like how tiny this is as it will not take up much room in my already full make up drawer.

Next is the Hard Candy skin perfecting Primer. This is a very light formula, i was thinking that it would be a thicker more silicone base but it goes on really smooth and feels light. I didn't even notice it after i put it on. I really like Hard Candy products, they are so affordable, This was around $8 and this will last me forever!

My sister told me she uses this as an eye lid primer as well as the face primer.

I am not a huge nail polish girl but i love this grey . This is Rimmel's Grey Matter polish, super cheap I think only $3 and the color isn't very dark but its a nice neutral color to have.

I have yet to find another store where I live that actually sells this. I have heard a couple YT guru's talking about Soap & Glory products so I thought I should check them out. I LOVE the packaging on their products, it just makes  me want to buy them! They are a little bit more expensive then other drug store products but not by to much, most of their stuff is around $11. This one is the Girligo Fragrant moisturizing mist-as the box says: " scented with a tempting blend of bergamot, peach, strawberry, jasmine, mandarin and musk" sounds delicious right? It is a very good scent, not over powering and a it is more jasmine and musky then fruity, so it is a different smell then i usually use-nice to change it up.

You can check out Mertzmakeup 's Youtube Video on this product-that's where i found it and decided to try it!

I went to London Drugs to do a little shopping since there are a lot of sales right now ( I cannot resist a good deal!) and this is what i came home with...

Redken is one of my most favorite line for hair care, this kind is the color extend line. I usually am to cheap to buy this product often but it was on sale for $21.00 so I couldn't pass that up, I did only get the conditioner since i do have some of the shampoo left over from last time.I am not exactly sure but i believe I have paid almost $40.00 for a liter before so $21 was cheap!

The next product I got is the TRESemme 24 hour body spray gel. I haven't read any reviews on this particular product but I did watch a video from ForeverYours0727 this morning and she had used this product and her hair looked awesome. You can check out here video HERE . Since it was on sale for $3.99 I thought i would test it out.

SCRUBBBB! I am always trying to find a good body scrub and this is such a wicked product! I love it! This is my second  body scrubber I have purchased and i love it. It actually kind of hurts the first time you use it, its very scrubby but once you used it a couple times you don't notice it. It makes your skin so soft its great. This was a little pricey for me but you don't have to replace it too often, it was $5.99.

Practically ever beauty guru on YouTube talks of this face brush, I have heard you can find them at the Body Shop but I haven't actually found any in my city. I have never used this product before but always heard good things so I am going to test it out! It was $5.49.

Another hair product, surprise surprise. I think i spend most of my money at the drug store on different hair products. I saw a commercial for this mask last night and thought i may's well try this one, i have yet to find a hair deep conditioner that i actually find helps repair my hair. This one says it has pro-keratine and ceramide that hopefully help strengthen your hair? This  mask was $6.99.

I love the Herbacin hand cream so i picked up a lip balm to test out this kind. It was a little pricey for me but hopefully it will be worth the $3.99.

Fructis hairspray is nothing to special to me but it work's alright. I got the Ultra Strong hold, its not as strong as it sounds. if you spray farther away from your hair it doesn't make it all crunchy and gross and it was on sale for $2.99 so that's a good price.

I was watching Fleur De Force yesterday and I saw she had picked up this Maybelline Volum'Express mascara -being the mascara junkie I am I needed to get it and test it out. It was only $6.99.  I haven't watched any reviews yet but if its great I will do a review of this product.(if anyone actually reads this blog! ;)

I am the absolute worst when it comes to finding a foundation, I can never get the color right or how much coverage i need. I don't usually wear it either but I just need to test out some until I find the right one. This was on sale for $4.49 so no biggie if it doesn't work out.

LAST PRODUCT, I did a double take when I saw this sitting on the shelf! I never thought i would be so determine to find and Aussie product but I have been looking for Months for this and been watching everyone on YouTube raving about this cheap deep conditioner that actually works. I was excited to find it so i grabbed it and left.. I realize now that I already bought it that it isn't the same kind everyone has been talking about =/  It doesn't have a very nice scent to it but if it will help condition my hair then I am sold for $3.99.

And that is all for my drug store haul! Has anyone tried any of these products before?

I am a Mascara Junkie,i will try every drug store mascara for the most part. These were the latest ones I had kicking around, some of them are meant for the garbage and some of them I will repurchase for sure.

The first one was a surprise for me, i had never tried any Hard
Candy products until Walmart introduced these products.
(yes i buy a lot of products from Walmart, i'm a little bit cheap!)
This mascara for $7ish dollars is not bad, it doesn't give you tons of volume or length but it's not bad for a cheaper mascara-might be good if you are looking for more nature kind of lashes.

Maybelline's FaLsies, it seems that most YouTube Guru's are loving this one, the brush is pretty different then most brushes as it is kind of like half a brush. I do find this lengthens and separates lashes. I don't have thick eye lashes so it does thicken them a little bit. I do find it a little flaky .This isn't my favorite mascara but i do find it in my top 5 for sure.

Revlon's grow luscious claims to help strengthen lashes and make them grow? This did nothing but make my lashes feel crunchy and stiff. The brush is so fat that I found it hard to even use correctly, this bottle is fairly full and will stay that way until it meets the garbage. Total Fail.

I have already kind of spoke about this one earlier on my blog,L'oreal's Voluminous Million Lashses, I Love it. IT lengthens and separate's your lashes. I don't find it over dramatic but it is good as a base coat,I used this first usually and then layer with L'oreal's Voluminous. This is Definitely a HG product.

ALL TIME favorite Mascara ever L'oreal's Voluminous, i have been buying this for years and I will most likely buy for years to come. This lengthens and thickens. This gives me the closest to thick long lashes as I will ever get!My HG for sure. The only con with this is it does flake near the end of the day.

Rimmel's Extra Super Lash is nothing that the name claims to be, I am not trying to dis it but it was basically a waste of money as this product did nothing of the sort. No Volume, No Length.FAIL.

My final mascara is Bad Gal Lash by Benefit, this is a popular product as well i have heard great things about it, so i decided i would try it. It was quite expensive and I didn't find anything to great about it. I found the brush was to fat and didn't go through my lashes very well. It also made them feel kind of crunchy, so for me i would not repurchase =/

Have you ever tried any of these?
