Random Drugstore Buys!

Sometimes I am glad I don't live in the U.S because seriously you guys have such amazing shopping, and for some strange reason I have an obsession with drug stores, I ALWAYS want to go in them and check out what they have! Anyone else?
There are so many more options in American ones too then Canadian ones so my bank account would hate me if I lived there!

These are just some random things I found on sale, I totally believe in buying things on sale rather then full price, and use coupons! 

First I was at Shoppers Drug Mart
*GARNIER FRUCTIS Crystal  Resist Hair Spray- $2.99 (  I realized after it is even cheaper at Walmart)
*RIMMEL Scandal Eyes $6.74, I am not sure what the regular price is but it said it was on sale, and I since I have no self control I purchased this!
*GARNIER FRUCTIS Color Shield- $2.99 (again it was like 2.75 at walmart, ops) I know these products aren't cruelty free but I am having a hard time finding decent priced things some days and sadly $ wins sometimes =(  This works really well to detangle my crappy hair and help keep color lasting.
*BATISTE my <3 in Blush -$6.99 totally didn't NEED this but for $3 cheaper then regular and I know I will use it I mays well!

Okay this brush is INSANE! I think it's as big as my hair brush!;) I always think I like massive brushes but I really don't sadly so far I am not loving this. I will try it more and see if I can figure out why I think I like fat brushes but I think its not good unless you have some crazy full lashes which I do not =(

*LIVE CLEAN Sweet Pea Hand Soap -$4.99. Okay this stuff is EFFING amazing! It smells delicious,makes your hands soft and it is free from all that crap that shouldn't be in products we put on us! Cruelty free as well. Very nice soap!
*Lindt Snow Balls- $0.99. Okay who's bright idea was this? Jerkface! I seriously will eat this in like 10 minutes.Sure didn't need these but man are they good!

REDKEN Color Extend $19.99. Okay I am completely fed up of buying a million different shampoo's and seeing my color run down my shower drain. I know there is no solution to completely save your color but I refuse to use drug store shampoo's any longer. This isn't going to stop my color from leaving my hair but I know it works and this bottle will last me for like a year I bet. I still have the conditioner I purchased almost a year ago, I don't use it every wash but every couple I do and they last for so long.

That is all my drug store purchases for the past few weeks. What was the latest you've bought??

REDKEN Extreme Cat Review

Damaged hair? Over dyed? Too Much Heat? This is a product you might want to try if you have any of those problems. 

 
I bought this almost a month ago and I must say i FRICKEN LOVE IT. 
This is a protein reconstructing treatment for distressed hair. I have been using deep conditioner for EVER and I guess I just didn't realize that maybe the problem isn't just the outside of my hair it might be the inside of my hair... This CAT treatment works to help repair the hair on the inside, while deep conditioners work on the outside. I think this is great to use a couple times a week as well as a deep conditioner to get your hair healthy.


After the first time I used this i seriously noticed a difference in how soft and how much body my hair had. It was so soft that I actually had to put some extra product to give it some texture. I have been using this on a regular basis and I have had a couple compliments on how shiny my hair looks. This product also states it will help with body and shine so I think it has been due to this product. 
The cons of this product are the price. $22 for this tiny bottle is a lot of money but we will see how long it lasts. 
This is soo hard to spray when your hands are wet and you are trying to spray this all over your hair in the shower. They need to redesign the bottle.

REDKEN Refining Sea Polish Review

SUPER WEIRD!!!!


I have only used this once and I used it sparingly as the sample I got probably has 2 uses in it but I am not too sold on this.
Okay just in case you have never seen this product it is REDKEN'S Refining Sea Polish- "Gentle exfoliant, enriched with pumice, removes impurities and refines the hair's surface leaving it smooth and shiny." (From the web site) BUT I have to disagree on that one! I have only tried this once and I didn't like it. It felt like I was literally rubbing sand in my hair, I was kind of worried that I was going to shred my already fragile hair with this stuff! Even though the packaging states it is for ALL hair types-I think not.
This "gentle" Exfoliant is pretty fine,not like an actual face scrub or anything like that, you probably can tell in the picture how fine the grain is.



After you have rubbed this in your hair, you are to rinse and condition. This did rinse out easy and it didn't get stuck like you think maybe sand would. I did use a deep conditioner after just in case this did any harm to my hair.
So Over all honestly I only used it once as I do have fine hair and I don't really think this is a product for anyone with fine or really damaged hair as it does exfoilate the hair a bit, it doesn't like rip your hair open but I think this would be more suitable for maybe thick hair. I didn't find my hair any shinier either and since my hair is so dark I think I would be able to notice a difference. It did have a pleasant smell like the rest of the products in this line but that is basically all I can say about it.
I will probably never use this again and I am glad I got to try a free sample of it.
I think if your salon has the little packet samples defiantly give it a try and let me know how it is!

REDKEN Natures Rescue Shampoo Review

I am in love with this already! I haven't bought a cleansing shampoo for quite some time and I don't really know why I haven't but I haven't . I have only used this shampoo twice, I will probably only use it once a week from now on since it is a cleansing shampoo that basically de-gunks your hair. After I blow dried my hair it was crazy soft and felt so light. I did notice a bit more volume because I had gotten rid of all the crap that has been building up on my hair.
This is a sulfate paraben free shampoo so it isn't going to foam up like crazy when it is in your hair, it did foam up but I always think the more it foams the more it is cleaning and I think I tend to use too much but oh welllll. I did notice more dye washing out of my hair then my other shampoo-that's why I would only use this once a week. I think this is worth the money as the bottle will probably last me a really long time.

*NEW REDKEN PRODUCTS*

I got to leave work early on Thursday and I decided I should go check out the mall near by and see if I can find anything...I couldn't find a thing so I decided to head into the hair salon there and see if there was any new products and here is what I am testing out:

*NATURE'S RESCUE* Refreshing Detox Shampoo for all hair types
Sulfate-free cleanser washes away daily stress by helping eliminate impurities,pollution and build up. This has moisturizing aloe and soy protein to help protect hair..
I haven't tested this out but I will tomorrow and do a review if anyone is wondering what it is like. This was pricey- $15.99 and the bottle isn't that big. 200 ml so it better be good!


Okay this is so weird, or so I thought it was super weird when I saw Amarixe's channel . This is a hair scrub type thing . A scrub for your hair?What! This is supposed to gently exfoliate hair,remove impurities and refine the surface of the hair leaving it smooth and shiny. I don't know exactly what I think of this just yet as I haven't used it yet. I got a sample packet of it and will give it a try.

And the last REDKEN product I bought yesterday is the *EXTREME CAT* Protein reconstructing treatment for distressed hair
The girl at the salon said she swears by this and said she uses it all the time so I hope she is right!
 CAT protein reconstructing treatment reconditions distressed hair. It provides combability,body and shine to help prevent further damage. I haven't used this yet either but I will give it a try tomorrow.This was also very expensive in my opinion $22 but I am hoping it will help my crappy weak hair.

I went to London Drugs to do a little shopping since there are a lot of sales right now ( I cannot resist a good deal!) and this is what i came home with...



Redken is one of my most favorite line for hair care,this kind is the color extend line. I usually am to cheap to buy this product often but it was on sale for $21.00 so I couldn't pass that up, I did only get the conditioner since i do have some of the shampoo left over from last time.I am not exactly sure but i believe I have paid almost $40.00 for a liter before so $21 was cheap!




The next product I got is the TRESemme 24 hour body spray gel. I haven't read any reviews on this particular product but I did watch a video from ForeverYours0727 this morning and she had used this product and her hair looked awesome. You can check out here video HERE . Since it was on sale for $3.99 I thought i would test it out.




SCRUBBBB! I am always trying to find a good body scrub and this is such a wicked product! I love it! This is my second  body scrubber I have purchased and i love it. It actually kind of hurts the first time you use it, its very scrubby but once you used it a couple times you don't notice it. It makes your skin so soft its great. This was a little pricey for me but you don't have to replace it too often, it was $5.99.



Practically ever beauty guru on YouTube talks of this face brush, I have heard you can find them at the Body Shop but I haven't actually found any in my city. I have never used this product before but always heard good things so I am going to test it out! It was $5.49.



Another hair product, surprise surprise. I think i spend most of my money at the drug store on different hair products. I saw a commercial for this mask last night and thought i may's well try this one, i have yet to find a hair deep conditioner that i actually find helps repair my hair.This one says it has pro-keratine and ceramide that hopefully help strengthen your hair? This  mask was $6.99.



 I love the Herbacin hand cream so i picked up a lip balm to test out this kind. It was a little pricey for me but hopefully it will be worth the $3.99.




Fructis hairspray is nothing to special to me but it work's alright. I got the Ultra Strong hold, its not as strong as it sounds. if you spray farther away from your hair it doesn't make it all crunchy and gross and it was on sale for $2.99 so that's a good price.





I was watching Fleur De Force yesterday and I saw she had picked up this Maybelline Volum'Express mascara -being the mascara junkie I am I needed to get it and test it out. It was only $6.99.  I haven't watched any reviews yet but if its great I will do a review of this product.(if anyone actually reads this blog! ;)



I am the absolute worst when it comes to finding a foundation, I can never get the color right or how much coverage i need. I don't usually wear it either but I just need to test out some until I find the right one. This was on sale for $4.49 so no biggie if it doesn't work out.


LAST PRODUCT, I did a double take when I saw this sitting on the shelf! I never thought i would be so determine to find and Aussie product but I have been looking for Months for this and been watching everyone on YouTube raving about this cheap deep conditioner that actually works. I was excited to find it so i grabbed it and left.. I realize now that I already bought it that it isn't the same kind everyone has been talking about =/  It doesn't have a very nice scent to it but if it will help condition my hair then I am sold for $3.99.


And that is all for my drug store haul! Has anyone tried any of these products before?
