Garnier Fructis

Drug Store Haul

1:00 AM

I have been shopping wayyyy too much lately and this is the latest that I have picked up...
I went to a drug store that is newly renovated in my area and I was shocked at all the different brands they had there. Finally NYX is in my city! But still they were out of the jumbo eye pencil in Milk, I swear I will never get my hands on one lol.
I grabbed a few things from Value Drugs/Shoppers Drug Mart & Walmart

*Garnier Fructis Crystal Resist Finishing Spray with crystal minerals-$3.99.This was on sale, I have seen it for up to $7.99 which is ridiculously priced but I have been curious so see if it really did give shine to your hair. I don't love hair spray but I use it often since my hair sucks!

*L.A Colors Nail Polish remover pads-32 peach scented pads-$1.99. I've never heard of this brand before but it is super convenient if you travel at all as well it is a cruelty free product =D

*Hard Candy Glow All The Way Bronzing lotion-$7.98.I have been looking for a replacement for my L'oreal Sublime bronzing lotion since I am almost finished it as well they test on animals DAMN YOU L'OREAL!!! and Hard Candy doesn't so I hope I like this!

*Hard Candy 1,000 Lashes midnight Black, Fiberized lash weave mascara-$5.98-This sounds so weird as well when you open the tube and take the wand out it looks like little hair is on the brush! I have such a BAD memory and should have wrote this down but this is the mascara that had bad reviews and I shouldn't have purchased it! But I will try it and see what I can do with it.

*Udderly Smooth Udder Cream-$1.99.The name makes it sound disgusting to me but this stuff really helps with dry hands and in winter I certainly have that problem,as well for $2 I think it's worth it.

*Jergens Soothing Aloe Relief with bonus Jergens Natural Glow firming daily moisturizer-$3.99. This was on sale, I have seen it up to $8.99 so I thought with that price I better grab it since I have wanted to try it for a few months but wasn't willing to fork out $9!

Most reached for Eye Shadows

6:00 AM

Please forgive the picture, it is 9pm and it is dark dark outside!! So I had to use my flash and the color is a bit off =/

ahh cat hair again on my naked palette! ops =/

When it comes to everyday shadows(When I use them) I am very neutral and like mostly browns so a lot of my shadows are similar colors but I feel like I can never have enough brown eye shadows!

Here are my top ones I love to use:

*Urban Decay Naked Palette - ( Of course!)
*Cover Girl Eye Enhancer in Tapestry Toupe- (I have had this forever!)
*Cover Girl Eye Enhancer in Swill Chocolate- (Also an oldy)
*Wet n Wild Color Icon in Nutty (Best $2 shadow ever!)
*Hard Candy Baked Eye Shadow Duo in Baked (Nicely pigmented for $5 Shadow!)

What is your most used color & Brand for everyday eye shadow look?

Hard Candy's Split Personality Eye Shadow Duo Review

6:00 AM

Hard Candy's Split Personality
Eye Shadow Duo
in Confused

Dual ended eye color wand contains easy to apply cream to powder shadow on both sides. Each shade matches your moods perfectly!

Confused-$7 at Walmart

Confused Gold Left and Confused Coco Right

The applicator end's aren't super ideal but maybe I will learn to master this tool? I didn't have a gold color like this so I was happy to have one.

I have been playing around with this just a little bit this week and I haven't quite mastered a look I find worthy to post on here so no eye picture yet =/

I was really curious about this product because I thought hey it's new and 2 shadows in one might be useful.

I think this is a bit tricky....

Cons:

*Hard to apply, I don't think I could use this as a full on shadow, maybe just on top of a shadow or maybe under my bottom lashes, I'm not really too sure
*Super overly priced
*Not great on it's own
*Applicator is so flimsy it is slightly awkward
*Pigmentation is alright, not terrible not good

Pros:

*Nice colors

I don't think I would recommend this product, it's not terrible but it really isn't anything I think I would ever repurchase or really use too often. Hard Candy has some major hits and misses. This just left my  mood confused!

Cosmopolitan

Walmart/Shoppers Drug Mart Mini Haul

6:00 AM

I made my Boyfriend come out with me this weekend to grab a couple things, I am going to attempt to make a peppermint body scrub, if I can ever find peppermint extract! I got a little side tracked and picked up a couple things while on my hunt.

*September's issue of Cosmopolitan-$5
*Lemon Ginger Caffeine Free Herbal Tea (Recommended by Cerina)-$4
*Hard Candy-Split Personality Eye Shadow Duo- $6
*Neon Food Coloring-$3 (I will use a drop or two in my scrub!)

Then I decided I would try to see if Shoppers Drug Mart would have anything since I read online you can find peppermint extract at Walmart but no luck so I thought maybe Shoppers might have something like that in the food section? Maybe that was just dumb lol but I thought I would look anyway. Well I sure didn't find it =(  BUT they did have Monster 4 packs on sale for $6.99!! They vary from $8.99-11.99 so I bought 3 packs! I would have bought more but the bf said 3 was enough lol.

And that was my haul =)

June Favorites IN JULY!!

12:03 AM

So this is kinda later then I had planned but better late then never right?
Okay so I first saw the photo's of products in the Grass on  Fleur De Force's Blog and i LOVED IT!
Then I saw it on Gaby's Blog and I really really wanted to try it! I just loved the summery looking pictures, so I swear I'm not ripping it off it just looked nice =) But no laughing at my half green grass! ;)

These June fav's are basic and short! Kinda like me ;)

BERRY VANILLA Triple Moisture Body Cream- I know it is summer but I still find myself needing lots of moisture on my skin. This is great it smells amazing and it makes my skin happy!

NIVEA Essential lip moisturizer. I use this all the time all year round. I find it the perfect lip blam for me.

ALMAY  Smart Shade with SPF 15-This was on clearance at Shoppers Drug Mart for $4.99. I have heard mixed reviews on it. I thought I would give it a shot since it was more then 50% off regular price.

SWEET PEA- perfume is one of my favorites. Light fruity/Floral scent is perfect for summer.

FOX IN A BOX- This is such a good product for $5!

This is Truth or Dare. A light Blush & Bronzer in one.

ORGANIX COCONUT MILK anti breakage serum. This smells sooooo good! Love Coconut scents. This bottle will last me like a year I bet, just a tiny drop will work for the ends of your wet hair.

FALSiES Flared-This is one of my favorite drug store mascara's! top 3 I would have to say.

NAKED Palette- OF COURSE!! I FINALLY HAVE it and i honestly ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! I love every single color in here and I think they are perfect for everyone. Don't mind the cat hair on mind lol its like a velvety cover so it has Chicken & Boots fur stuck to it =)
That was pretty much all for my June favorites... I could have added the cotton candy candle from Bath & Body works but I am burning it as we speak...or umm type?

What was your favorite products in June?

CleanandClear

WalMart MinI HaUl

7:46 PM

I ran into  Walmart quickly to pick up a couple things for the Relay for Life and I mostly just got crap I didn't need =/ but here it is!

*ORGANIX's Coconut Oil-$7
*CLEAN&CLEAR makeup remover wipes-$6
*MAYBELLINE'S Falsies Flared-$7
*HARD CANDY'S Glamoflauge-$6
*HARD CANDY'S Fox in a Box-$6

Fox in a Box
HARD CANDY

HARD CANDY-Glamoflauge in light
Maybellin's Falsies Flared
ORGANIX-Coconut Milk
Sweet Pea candle-$5

This candle isn't comparable to the Bath & Body Works by any means but for $5 it does its job!
I have never tried any of these products before other than the Clean&Clear makeup remover cloths so I am excited to test out some new stuff.

What was your latest things you bought that you didn't need?

Bath And Body Works

New Products!

4:25 PM

I have a couple new products I am testing and so far so good... here they are :

 * CLEAN&CLEAR Makeup dissolving foaming cleanser. I have been using a lot of clean&clear products lately and liking them. I can't remember who had this in their YouTube video but when I saw the video I knew I had to try this since I do like their eye make up remover. This was $5.99 at Zellers and it is just a foamy makeup removing cleanser. It removes my waterproof mascara so that's all I really care about.

*The next is HARD CANDY'S SHEER ENVY Tinted Moisturizer in color fair.
This is a great product for light coverage, I don't like to have a bunch of foundation on most of the time and this is a good way to even your skin out without much on. I do find it looks a little shiny once it goes on but it does dry matte. I use a little bit of powder after I apply this to even out any shine. This was around $7 at Walmart

*I would try a new mascara every fricken day if i could and I haven't tried much from Physicians Formula but This Organic Wear caught my eye and I thought i would try it. This is a natural mascara without extra added crap. This is free of harsh chemicals, synthetic preservatives, parabens, fibers and dyes. It claims there is no clumping with this kind of formula. I have used this twice now since I bought it and I am not too sure how i like it.

This is the brush.. It is pretty short and fat so it is hard to get in the corners of the eye and I found it hard on the lower lash line . It has the rubbery bristles on the wand.

The picture isn't the best but I couldn't get my phone to focus really well but you get the idea. This is a fairly Matte black, the color is Ultra black but it doesn't give me jumbo lashes like the package says =/

*Lastly is Bath & Body Works DARK KISS triple moisturizing shower cream. Love this scent.. MY Mama actually bought me this too.. and I love it, it is super thick and leaves your skin feeling soft with such a nice scent =)

Do you have any new products you have recently bought that you are loving?

Bath And Body Works

~MaRch FaVorItEs~

10:22 PM

Another month has come and gone and more products and things I have enjoyed, here is a few for the month of march...

Hard Candy-girl next door Volumizing lip gloss in a pretty pink that doesn't really show up on your lips much. Isn't too thick/sticky feeling and I don't know if it is just me but this stuff smells freakin amazing..I was trying to think of what the smell smells like and the best way to describe it is i think it smells kind of like the white tic tacs.

This is Bath & Body Works Carried Away. This just came to Canada I think, I saw it in Vegas in February but couldn't find it until last week here.
To describe this smell, I don't even think I can anymore,it is different but I think it's really good. But this smell is a different kind of smell...I was in the store today and I had showed my sister the lotion of this and said it smells good, her exact words were " It's smells like throw up" LOL which I found pretty funny but I do not think it smells like throw up obviously. You know how sometimes the lotion doesn't smell as good as the body spray? I am hoping this is the case..

Maybelline's Super Stay Concealer is my fist concealer I have bought ever I think other then the hard candy nobody's perfect. I actually really like this for my first liquid concealer, it didn't last 24 hours like it claims but I think it lasted for most of the day so I can't complain.

I have seen a few girls on YouTube with this little makeup sponge and I couldn't find one but I finally did and i must say this is MUCH better then your normal typical makeup sponge thingy. The shape of it is good for around your eyes and nose, it's great!

A Fine haired girls best friend! This is so great to add texture and hold to your hair. I have been using this pretty much everyday since I bought it and it really is almost as good as salon powders.got2b's version is so worth the $7.00. It last most of the day but nothing last's too long in my hair anyways.Def check this out.

Ops i almost Almost forgot this one! Frutis Double Care detangling nourish and shine. This is soo Great when you don't want to spend a bunch on Chi's Keratin's Mist (which I love and have!) but this you just shake up and spray on wet hair and it detangles fairly well. I used to use the kid's Lo'real's hair detangler until I found this. It is also supposed to help with the fading of colored hair...perfect!

I fricken love baths in the winter since it's so cold here and it's way to warm up. This is i love lemon's & limes delicious bubble bath that smells amazing just like the title!

And the last 2 are my favorites for my house =)
Bath & Body Works had a sale 2 for $25 and it might sound expensive but they usually $22.50 a piece and I only buy them if they are on sale.

-Lilac Blossom is amazing as it sounds, just a pretty flowery scent

Pineapple Mango is the best smell in the world, i honestly could eat this candle it smells exactly like pineapple and mango sound, Love this one!!

Sorry this post looks terrible =( and it took SOO long messing around with it and it still looks terrible. Why blogger why are you making me look stupid? lol.

Anyways if anyone actually could stand reading this messy post what were some of your March favorites? or have you tired any of these? Or can anyone please tell me my sister is wrong and it doesn't smell like throw up? ;)

Hard Candy

oKAY oKAY ....

9:39 PM

Since I have started this blog I have really realized that i have been spending a lot of money on products...i might have spend a LITTLE bit more since this blog started but nahh probably not. I guess i justify it because i usually buy sale items! Anyways here we go again... =)

I used to use Maybelline Full N Soft ALWAYS when I was younger and all of a sudden I couldn't  find it anymore I actually thought it was discontinued or something...Then i was at my mom's house last week and I was telling her about the one by one mascara I just bought and she said she thought she had it as well... but it was the full N Soft she was thinking of, i was surprised that they still made it! I have searched and searched for this mascara and no luck until the other day I went to a Walmart in a town close to my city and they had it. Needless to say I got it, it was only $7 so really not too much.

I do not have much experience with Wet n Wild products but a lot of YT guru's seem to be liking this. This high pigmented shadow is in the color Nutty and it was only $2! It is definitely worth $2 and then some. The color is great and I actually like how tiny this is as it will not take up much room in my already full make up drawer.

Next is the Hard Candy skin perfecting Primer. This is a very light formula, i was thinking that it would be a thicker more silicone base but it goes on really smooth and feels light. I didn't even notice it after i put it on. I really like Hard Candy products, they are so affordable, This was around $8 and this will last me forever!

My sister told me she uses this as an eye lid primer as well as the face primer.

I am not a huge nail polish girl but i love this grey . This is Rimmel's Grey Matter polish, super cheap I think only $3 and the color isn't very dark but its a nice neutral color to have.

I have yet to find another store where I live that actually sells this. I have heard a couple YT guru's talking about Soap & Glory products so I thought I should check them out. I LOVE the packaging on their products, it just makes  me want to buy them! They are a little bit more expensive then other drug store products but not by to much, most of their stuff is around $11. This one is the Girligo Fragrant moisturizing mist-as the box says: " scented with a tempting blend of bergamot, peach, strawberry, jasmine, mandarin and musk" sounds delicious right? It is a very good scent, not over powering and a it is more jasmine and musky then fruity, so it is a different smell then i usually use-nice to change it up.

You can check out Mertzmakeup 's Youtube Video on this product-that's where i found it and decided to try it!

I am a Mascara Junkie,i will try every drug store mascara for the most part. These were the latest ones I had kicking around, some of them are meant for the garbage and some of them I will repurchase for sure.

The first one was a surprise for me, i had never tried any Hard
Candy products until Walmart introduced these products.
(yes i buy a lot of products from Walmart, i'm a little bit cheap!)
This mascara for $7ish dollars is not bad, it doesn't give you tons of volume or length but it's not bad for a cheaper mascara-might be good if you are looking for more nature kind of lashes.

Maybelline's FaLsies, it seems that most YouTube Guru's are loving this one, the brush is pretty different then most brushes as it is kind of like half a brush. I do find this lengthens and separates lashes. I don't have thick eye lashes so it does thicken them a little bit. I do find it a little flaky .This isn't my favorite mascara but i do find it in my top 5 for sure.

Revlon's grow luscious claims to help strengthen lashes and make them grow? This did nothing but make my lashes feel crunchy and stiff. The brush is so fat that I found it hard to even use correctly, this bottle is fairly full and will stay that way until it meets the garbage. Total Fail.

I have already kind of spoke about this one earlier on my blog,L'oreal's Voluminous Million Lashses, I Love it. IT lengthens and separate's your lashes. I don't find it over dramatic but it is good as a base coat,I used this first usually and then layer with L'oreal's Voluminous. This is Definitely a HG product.

ALL TIME favorite Mascara ever L'oreal's Voluminous, i have been buying this for years and I will most likely buy for years to come. This lengthens and thickens. This gives me the closest to thick long lashes as I will ever get!My HG for sure. The only con with this is it does flake near the end of the day.

Rimmel's Extra Super Lash is nothing that the name claims to be, I am not trying to dis it but it was basically a waste of money as this product did nothing of the sort. No Volume, No Length.FAIL.

My final mascara is Bad Gal Lash by Benefit, this is a popular product as well i have heard great things about it, so i decided i would try it. It was quite expensive and I didn't find anything to great about it. I found the brush was to fat and didn't go through my lashes very well. It also made them feel kind of crunchy, so for me i would not repurchase =/

Have you ever tried any of these?
